Ubisoft Montpellier is looking for a Technical Sound Designer for a 6-month internship starting in January 2026. The intern will join a creative and technical team on a Rayman brand project, working within a 3-person audio team. This unique opportunity involves working on the creative and colorful universe of the Rayman brand, focusing on audio bug resolution, asset integration, and sound asset creation for the game.
Must Have
- Identify and resolve audio bugs in the engine
- Understand and analyze technical problems related to audio integration
- Participate in the integration of audio assets into the engine
- Create sound assets for the game (SFX, voices, sound effects)
- Propose creative ideas to enrich the sound experience
- Guarantee the audio quality of the game
- Participate in the creation of SFX, voices, and music (casting, recording, integration)
- Knowledge of game engines (ideally Unreal - Unity)
- Comfort with technical pipelines and bug resolution
- Eligible for an internship agreement
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Wwise (audio integration)
- Audio tools: Pro Tools, Reaper
- Aptitude for audio creation, editing, and recording
- Fluency in English, both oral and written

Missions:
What you will do:
- Tests & Debug
- Identify and resolve audio bugs in the engine.
- Understand and analyze technical problems related to audio integration.
- Creation & Integration
- Participate in the integration of audio assets into the engine.
- Create sound assets for the game (SFX, voices, sound effects,...).
- Propose creative ideas to enrich the sound experience.
- Creative Ownership
- Depending on your profile, you may have ownership of some topics (technical & creative).
- Contribute to the audio artistic direction (proposals, feedback).
Key Objectives:
- Guarantee the audio quality of the game.
- Participate in the creation of SFX, voices, and music (casting, recording, integration).
Your future work environment:
- Team based in Montpellier, under the supervision of an Associate Audio Director and a Senior Technical Sound Designer.
- Collaboration with teams (programming, VFX, SFX,...).
Qualifications
Qualifications
You are studying audio in video games and are eligible for an internship agreement. You wish to complete your internship in a creative and innovative sector.
Technical:
- Knowledge of game engines (ideally Unreal - Unity).
- Comfort with technical pipelines and bug resolution.
Nice to have:
- Basics in Wwise (audio integration).
- Audio tools: Pro Tools, Reaper.
- Aptitude for audio creation, editing, and recording.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
Soft skills:
- Positive attitude, clear and constructive communication.
- Organization and rigor.
- Proactive, autonomous, passionate about video games.
