As a Team Lead in a Demand Ops team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of 15 people and coordinating the operational process and the team’s operational performance. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data across various platforms and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data meets organizational needs, providing guidance and mentorship, and implementing data quality assurance processes.

  • 2-3 years experience in data management, operations, or related roles.
  • 2-3 years experience in people management (10+ people).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of data management and project management principles.

Job Details

As a Team Lead in a Demand Ops team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of 15 people and coordinating the operational process and the team’s operational performance. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data across various platforms and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Biz-Ops, product, sales, and payroll to ensure that data meets the needs of the organization.

What You’ll do?

  • Leadership: Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to a team of demand operation specialists and SME. Set clear goals, establish priorities, and ensure the team's performance aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain processes for validating and verifying data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Develop and enforce data quality standards and best practices to improve overall data quality.
  • Project Management : Manage short-term and long-term projects with 100% documentation and adherence to timelines. Additionally, you will also be responsible for defining the performance metrics, goals, accuracy metrics and training the agents for the project along with sending proactive updates to the stakeholders. Data Management: Oversee the collection, organization, and maintenance of data in databases and other systems. Ensure data is structured in a way that supports efficient retrieval, analysis, and reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data management processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement tools and technologies that enhance data operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Biz-Ops, product management, engineering, billing ops, and sales teams to understand data requirements and priorities. Collaborate on initiatives to enhance data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality, timeliness, and operational efficiency. Analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Training and Development: Develop training programs and resources to educate team members on data management best practices, tools, and technologies. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on data operations, address concerns, and solicit feedback. Act as a liaison between the product data operations team and other departments within the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data management, operations, or related roles.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in people management while managing 10+ people.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in hiring, team building, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Experience working in the startup culture is a plus.

Office Location and Shift Timings:

  • This position is based in Bangalore, India. The candidate must be willing to work from the office located in Bangalore.
  • The candidate must be willing to work regular Indian shift timings and demonstrate flexibility to accommodate PST hours based on business needs.
