AECOM is seeking a Team Leader - Geo Environment to join its dynamic Environment department. This role involves the technical, administrative, and operational management of geo-environmental projects, alongside mentoring team members. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising projects from study to completion, ensuring budget and schedule adherence, team supervision, client relations, technical analysis, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. You will work on diverse assignments such as environmental characterization, contaminated site rehabilitation, and soil and groundwater management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geology, environmental engineering or a related discipline
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or a relevant professional order
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in geo-environment (environmental characterization, contaminated soil management, rehabilitation)
  • Proven experience in project management and coordination of technical teams
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations applicable in Quebec
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French
  • Proficiency in common computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite, specialized environmental software)
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (environment, geology, hydrogeology)
  • 8 years of experience
  • Experience in business development or client relations
  • Experience in large-scale or multidisciplinary projects
  • ASP Construction certification or other health and safety training
  • Recognized leadership, initiative, and autonomy
  • Experience in municipal, industrial, or complex environmental sectors

Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Team Leader - Geo Environment to join our dynamic team within our Environment department. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical, administrative, and operational management of geo-environmental projects, while also providing mentorship to team members.

You will work on various assignments, including environmental characterization, rehabilitation of contaminated sites, management of soils and groundwater, and supervision of field work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise geo-environmental projects, from the study phase to completion.
  • Ensure budget monitoring, schedules, and quality of deliverables.
  • Supervise and support team members (engineers, technicians, etc.).
  • Participate in drafting service offers and managing client relationships.
  • Perform technical analyses and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (geotechnics, hydrogeology, civil engineering, etc.).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
