Join the creation of Monopoly World, a mobile game bringing the classic board game to life. As a Technical Artist, you'll bridge art and technology, ensuring stunning visuals and smooth performance across devices. Responsibilities include collaborating with art and development teams, optimizing assets for mobile performance (Android and iOS), resolving technical issues, creating 2D/3D animations and particle effects, developing shaders, prototyping visual effects, and staying updated with Unity features. The role requires 3+ years of experience in game development as a Technical Artist, proficiency in mobile asset optimization, collaboration skills, expertise in particle systems and Unity's shader systems, and understanding of animation principles and 3D modeling tools. The position is located in a stunning office in Krakow, Poland, with a relocation package offered.

As a Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between art and technology to ensure our game looks visually stunning and runs smoothly across various devices. Join us full-time at our stunning office located in the heart of Krakow! Situated in a historic building just steps away from the vibrant city center, our workspace blends timeless charm with modern amenities, providing an inspiring setting for your personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the art and development teams to ensure seamless integration of assets.

  • Ensure that all visual assets are optimized for performance without compromising quality.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to graphics and animations to ensure performance across a variety of mobile devices.

  • Create both 2D and 3D animations to improve the overall user experience.

  • Develop and implement particle effects using Unity's Particle System.

  • Create and optimize shaders using Amplify Shader or custom HLSL shaders to enhance visual quality.

  • Assist in prototyping visual effects to enhance gameplay.

  • Stay up to date with the latest Unity features and best practices.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development.

  • Proficiency in optimizing assets for mobile performance (Android and iOS).

  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience with particle systems (Particle System).

  • Knowledge of Unity UI and its performance optimization techniques

  • Strong knowledge of Unity's shader systems (Amplify Shader, HLSL, both built-in rendering and Universal Render Pipeline).

  • Experience with lighting in Unity.

  • Understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, squash & stretch).

  • Basic knowledge of 3D modeling tools (Blender).

  • Experience with using version control system (Git)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with C# scripting for custom tools and workflows.

  • Knowledge of asset pipelines and performance profiling.

About The Company

Reality Games is an up and coming gaming studio developing mobile games based on live, real world Big data.
We are a team of 60 people based in Krakow at the iconic building of the Railway Station located in the heart of the historic centre of the city. We have also business representatives in London.

In early 2015, Reality Games launched its first game based on: Landlord Real Estate Tycoon. 
It received huge global success with over 12 million players.
Following the success of Landlord, we intend to release Big Data Game Engine.
We are expect that our Game Engine will simplify game development for external companies and make it much more cost and time effective, as there will not be a need for artificially created content.
