Western Digital is seeking a Technical Learning and Development Content Creator responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality educational content for employee technical roles. This involves collaborating with subject matter experts to create engaging e-learning modules, videos, webinars, and documentation. The role requires utilizing instructional design principles, evaluating and updating materials, conducting needs assessments, and facilitating training sessions. The ideal candidate will stay current with technology and learning methodologies to improve training program effectiveness.
Must have:

Job Description

As a Technical Learning and Development Content Creator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality educational content that empowers our employees to learn and grow in their technical roles. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design technical training content, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, webinars, and written documentation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Continuously evaluate and update training materials to reflect the latest technology trends and best practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Stay current with advancements in technology and learning methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with master’s degree or relevant certification.
  • Proven experience in creating technical training content.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia editing software.
  • Proficiency in film and still editing tools (e.g. Camtasia, Adobe Premier)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multinational team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
