Apple Services are an essential part of the Apple ecosystem, and Apple Pay is at the forefront of the digital payments revolution. The Payments and Commerce team is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the strategy and execution of our analytics initiatives. This role focuses on building a privacy-centric data foundation to understand and improve services for hundreds of millions of customers. TPMs operate with autonomy, driving large-scale, technical, and cross-functional initiatives, linking engineering, data science, product, and leadership to answer complex business questions while upholding user privacy.
Must have:
  • Define and drive the roadmap for Payments and Commerce analytics initiatives.
  • Guide Payments & Commerce Analytics projects and operations.
  • Deliver world-class insights and recommendations.
  • Understand customer, product, and partner needs.
  • Support the design, sustainment, and improvement of high-quality data products.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with other strategic product managers to align initiatives.
  • Establish clear roadmaps and action plans for achieving goals.
  • Manage dependencies and resourcing efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain efficient communication channels.
  • 3+ years experience as an engineering project/program/product manager, ideally focused in the payments software and data science space.
  • 1+ years experience supporting development of products tied to user behaviors and e-commerce needs.
  • Experience conducting quantitative data analysis and visualization, with a keen sense for data story telling.
  • Ability to lead complex programs, break down challenges into manageable tasks, establish goals, track progress, and manage contingencies.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with collaborators at all levels.
  • Expertise in handling ambiguity, using critical thinking and sound judgment, with a committed approach.
Good to have:
  • PMP, ACP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or CSM project management certifications.
  • Experience in payments industry, digital wallets, or large-scale e-commerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of privacy-preserving technologies (e.g., differential privacy).

Define and drive the roadmap for our Payments and Commerce analytics initiatives. Be at the center of our data-informed decision-making process, ensuring our initiatives are built on a foundation of secure, reliable, and privacy-first data. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Guide Payments & Commerce Analytics projects and operations to deliver world class insights and recommendations, project management leading practices and Apple technologies, in coordination with multiple collaborators across various teams. Deeply understand customer, product and partner needs, supporting the design, sustainment and improvement of high quality data products. Work closely with engineering teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., software, privacy, design) throughout data product lifecycles. Partner with other strategic product managers within the organization to align initiatives across product lines and foster collaboration among various feature teams Establish clear roadmaps and action plans for achieving goals while managing dependencies and resourcing efficiently. Develop and maintain efficient communication channels both internally and externally.

  • 3+ years experience as an engineering project/program/product manager, ideally focused in the payments software and data science space.
  • 1+ years experience supporting development of products tied to user behaviors and e-commerce needs.
  • Experience conducting quantitative data analysis and visualization, with a keen sense for data story telling.
