Job Description

The Google Cloud Security Customer Success team guides customers through their SecOps and cloud journey. As a Security Advisor, you'll provide technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Security (GCS) products (SIEM, SOAR, and Google Threat Intelligence). You'll offer prescriptive guidance, ensure optimal customer experience in migrating, building, and maintaining SecOps and GTI products, and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to enhance GCS offerings. Responsibilities include working with customer SoC teams and executives, delivering SecOps advisory services, serving as a cloud security expert, packaging best practices into published assets, managing project scopes, and collaborating with various teams for successful client outcomes. Approximately 10% travel is required for client engagements.
Good To Have:
  • Security architecture/engineering experience
  • Cloud Security delivery in customer-facing role
  • Understanding of cybersecurity landscape, SIEM/SOAR migrations, detection strategies, incident response, and SoC workflow automation
  • Excellent communication, written, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Must Have:
  • 5+ years cybersecurity experience
  • SIEM, SOAR, threat intel expertise
  • SoC and executive stakeholder experience
  • Secure SecOps solution architecture
  • Project management & cross-functional teamwork
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese, Spanish

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity practitioner, cybersecurity consultant, or technical cybersecurity solution Customer Success Manager role working with SIEM, SOAR, and threat intel.
  • Experience working with SoC teams and executive security stakeholders.
  • Experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure SecOps solutions (SIEM and SOAR).
  • Experience with managing internal or external customer-facing projects to completion while working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in security architecture or security engineering.
  • Experience in Cloud Security delivery in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience understanding cybersecurity landscape, SIEM and SOAR migrations, detection strategies, incident response, and automating SoC workflows.
  • Excellent communication, written, presentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customer SoC teams, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful SecOps advisory services, serve as a cloud security and SoC subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
  • Work with Customer Success and PSO resources, Product, and Engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
  • Interact with Sales, Partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time for client engagements.
