As a Technical Solutions Engineer, Networking, you will be part of a global team supporting customers transitioning to Google Cloud. You will troubleshoot technical issues, combining debugging, networking, system administration, documentation updates, and coding/scripting. You will improve Google's products by enhancing tools, processes, and documentation, making them easier to use and adopt. You will drive Google Cloud's business growth by identifying and advocating for customer needs. You will manage customer problems through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools. You will develop expertise in Google's product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes for customer issues. You will serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, resolving technical deployment obstacles and improving Google Cloud. You will understand customer issues and advocate for their needs across functional teams, including Product and Engineering, to improve the product and drive high-quality production. You will collaborate with a team of Engineers/Consultants globally ensuring 24-hour customer support, which may involve working non-standard hours or shifts.
Good To Have:- Certification in CCNP, CCIE, CKA, RHCE
- Experience with any of these cloud solutions: open source software communities, cloud networking solutions, distributed computing technology, hybrid/multi cloud connectivity, etc.
- Experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing, etc.)
- Knowledge of virtual/container networking
Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience coding in a general purpose language or system design
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting/advocating for customers needs, and triaging technical issues
- 4 years of experience with two or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP
- Experience in network troubleshooting using techniques, such as packet capture, load testing, and traffic path analysis
