An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team within the Civil Aerospace division. This role focuses on driving the execution of the V&V IT strategy by delivering digital solutions. The successful candidate will enhance business performance and meet user needs, including fixing, improving, and transforming current digital capabilities in accordance with the V&V IT systems roadmap. Key responsibilities involve capturing customer requirements, developing system concepts, mitigating risks, defining architecture, and coordinating system implementation to achieve customer goals. This position requires collaboration with testing teams and engineers to support product validation, monitor system health, and resolve issues affecting test operations.
Must have:
  • Capture and maintain customer requirements throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Develop and evaluate system concepts using systems engineering methods
  • Identify and mitigate risks through RRMS processes
  • Define system architecture and solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Lead design reviews with Technical Councils and High-Spots
  • Create and manage system verification plans
  • Coordinate system implementation and modifications to meet customer goals
  • Collaborate with testing teams and engineers to support product validation
  • Monitor system health and schedule maintenance activities
  • Investigate and resolve system issues affecting test operations
  • Track system obsolescence and contribute to improvement planning
Good to have:
  • Degree level in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in relevant domain
  • Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • An understanding in calibration and metrology to support Rolls Royce in engine testing

What you will be doing:
