Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced Technical Transformation Specialist (Technical Director) for Unit 42 to lead high-impact transformation programs for EMEA clients. This role involves bridging strategic vision with technical execution, collaborating with vCISOs and client stakeholders to design and deliver transformation blueprints, platform adoption strategies, and implementation roadmaps. The specialist will work across multiple levels, influencing transformation direction, guiding execution, and elevating Unit 42’s market presence, focusing on Palo Alto Networks technologies like Cortex and Prisma to achieve measurable security outcomes.

  • Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly Cortex and Prisma.
  • Background in architecture, presales, professional services, or platform strategy.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native security, AI applications, Zero Trust, and SOC modernisation.
  • Skilled communicator able to engage with technical teams and senior executives.
  • Experience in the EMEA market.

Our leading consultancy seeks an experienced and innovative Technical Transformation Specialist (Technical Director), to identify, craft and oversee high-impact transformation programmes across our most important EMEA clients.

This role requires a trusted technical advisor who can bridge the gap between strategic vision and technical execution — collaborating with vCISOs, Unit 42 engagement leads, and client stakeholders to design and deliver transformation blueprints, platform adoption strategies, and pragmatic implementation roadmaps.

You’ll work at multiple levels: partnering with Unit 42 peers and client senior decision makers to influence transformation direction, embedding into delivery teams to guide execution, and engaging in activities to elevate Unit 42’s voice in the market.

You bring a deep understanding of Palo Alto Networks technologies, especially Cortex and Prisma, and experience in applying them within large-scale transformation programmes. This role blends delivery, technical advisory, thought leadership, and enablement — ensuring our clients achieve measurable security outcomes while unlocking the benefits of a platform adoption strategy.

Your Impact

Client Engagement and Programme Delivery:

  • Embed into key Unit 42 client engagements to design and deliver security transformation roadmaps
  • Partner with vCISOs and engagement leads to translate high-level strategy into actionable, technical programmes
  • Contribute to blueprint generation, architecture reviews, and post-incident transformation design
  • Identify opportunities for platform adoption, particularly across Cortex, Prisma, and NGFW portfolios
  • Collaborate across presales, professional services, and product teams to ensure a unified client experience

Thought Leadership & Industry Collaboration:

  • Represent Unit 42 and Palo Alto Networks in technical workshops, industry roundtables, or conferences
  • Maintain expertise in AI, cloud security, Zero Trust, SOC transformation, and platformization strategies
  • Co-author technical thought leadership content, micro-briefs, and transformation guides for clients.
  • Serve as an internal technical SME, supporting GTM campaigns and enablement initiatives across EMEA

Technical Excellence & Enablement:

  • Ensure transformation recommendations are pragmatic, achievable, and aligned to client operating realities
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory shifts impacting transformation
  • Provide technical mentoring and knowledge sharing across Unit 42 teams to strengthen delivery capability

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale security transformation programmes in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly Cortex and Prisma; NGFW experience highly valued
  • Background in architecture, presales, professional services, or platform strategy
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native security, AI applications, Zero Trust, and SOC modernisation
  • Skilled communicator — able to engage confidently with both technical teams and senior executives
  • Experience in the EMEA market, with understanding of local delivery and sales ecosystems
  • Fluent in English, with German, Spanish, or Italian as strong differentiators
