Job Description

Our transformation risk and advisory practice assists clients undergoing large transformations ($100 million - $5 billion) by offering services in transformation strategy, risk management, and program management. The team focuses on ensuring the success of these large transformation programs by employing an integrated people, process, and technology approach, supporting clients from strategy to execution. As a Transformation Risk & Advisory, Program Management Office, Manager, you will work within a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues. Responsibilities include designing and implementing program governance and management strategies, assisting in rolling out leading practice program management services (e.g., benefits realization, quality assurance, integrated planning), supporting PMO design and setup, developing integrated program plans, and delivering large complex projects. You will also engage with senior program leadership, develop client proposals, pursue new skill development, gather and interpret environmental data for client recommendations, coach others, stay updated on industry developments, and uphold the firm's code of ethics.
Must have:
  • Significant hands-on experience in program management of large transformations.
  • Proven experience supporting large complex system/transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to design and set up Program Offices and implement governance.
  • Experience with project assessments, health checks, and gateway reviews.
  • Prior consulting experience and understanding of consulting organizations.
  • Certified Project Manager (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, etc.).
  • Understanding of core project management processes and software.
  • Exceptional client service and relationship building skills.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong proposal writing and delivery abilities.
  • Mandatory Government of Canada Security Clearance.
  • Commitment to an inclusive, hybrid work environment.
Good to have:
  • Experience with IT governance, quality assurance, or SDLC.
  • Familiarity with ERP or industry-specific applications.

Our transformation risk and advisory practice focuses on assisting clients that are going through large transformations ($100 Mil - $5 bil) by providing services that cover transformation strategy, transformation risk management, transformation program management or other related services. The core focus of this team is to work with clients that are going through large transformation programs and help them make these programs successful. We bring an integrated people, process and technology approach to these projects and support the client from “strategy to execution” with their transformation program.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As a Transformation Risk & Advisory, Program Management Office, Manager you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Designing and implementing program governance and program management strategies 

  • Assisting in rolling out leading practice program management services like benefits realization, quality assurance, integrated planning, decision management, etc. 

  • Supporting the design and set up for PMO, developing and executing program integrated plans and delivering large complex projects/programs 

  • Working with and presenting to senior program leadership within large scale programs 

  • Developing responses to client proposals to support impactful conversations with senior client leaders 

  • Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of comfort zone

  • Gathering evidence from the environment you are working in, interpreting and recommending improvements to clients, and creating positive outcomes for all parties 

  • Coaching others and encourage them to take ownership of their development

  • Stay abreast of key industry developments both within Canada and globally 

  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve  

  • Significant hands-on experience within program management of large transformations 

  • Proven experience supporting implementations of large complex system/transformation initiatives 

  • Ability to design and set up Program Offices and rolling out the necessary governance and operational processes to manage the program 

  • Highly confident with implementing or performing project assessments, health checks, and project gateway reviews 

  • Prior consulting experience and a strong understanding of how consulting organizations work and have taken part in the sales cycle 

  • Certified Project Manager (PMP, PMI PMBOK, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP, MoR, Agile, or Benefit Realization) 

  • Understanding of core project management process area (IT governance, quality assurance, or SDLC), project management software/tools, and/or ERP or industry specific applications 

  • Exceptional commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients 

  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and multitasking/project management skills with strong abilities to write and deliver proposals to prospective clients 

  • As a requirement, a Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff who’ll be engaged on these assignments. PwC BC Region Pay Range Information   

The salary range* for this position is $82,300 - $137,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.   

*Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia regionGiven our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.   PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing salary ranges in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
