As a Technical Product Manager for HVAC systems, you will lead research and development, provide technical support for global tenders, and collaborate with engineering departments. You will be responsible for managing product lifecycle costs, implementing strategic improvement processes, and ensuring maintenance capabilities, while addressing safety concerns and customer issues. This role involves direct customer engagement to analyze needs and develop solutions, including management of R&D activities and coordination across departments.

How will you make a difference?

  •  Technical product responsibility for TSG business and technical support for TSG tenders worldwide
  • Support of business development activities for product managers and service engineering teams
  • Support with lifecycle cost calculation and pricing
  • Building relationships with key customers for needs analysis and solution finding
  • Management and planning of R&D activities for own product, including resource planning to meet cost and time requirements
  • Coordination of engineering departments to optimize requirements and prototype development
  • Technical leadership in safety issues and customer problems
  • Implementation of strategic improvement processes for reuse of existing designs and quality assurance of new products
  • Support of product development / product catalog (ensuring serviceability and maintainability of new products)
  • Support of worldwide processes for repair and overhaul methods
  • Informing management of serious technical problems
  • Active participation in the technical committee of the Transit Services Group

What will your typical day look like?

As Technical Product Manager (m/w/d) for HVAC systems, you'll lead research and development activities while providing technical support for global TSG tenders and service engineering teams. Your role involves direct customer engagement to analyze needs and develop solutions, while coordinating with engineering departments to optimize requirements and prototype development. You'll be responsible for managing product lifecycle costs, implementing strategic improvement processes, and ensuring maintenance capabilities of new products, all while serving as the technical authority for safety concerns and critical customer issues that require escalation to management.
