Job Description

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the position of TVET Sales Representative: Gauteng. The successful candidate will manage and grow sales within a geographic territory by securing new and maintaining existing adoptions, while delivering excellent service to customers.
Must have:
  • Promote Macmillan’s product range to TVET College staff and booksellers using a needs-based approach to meet or exceed annual turnover targets
  • Support promotional efforts to schools, education officials, and librarians as needed
  • Maintain product knowledge to retain existing adoptions and identify new opportunities
  • Identify new customers and grow market share and revenue
  • Implement customer-centric plans to build long-term relationships
  • Share market intelligence with the line manager
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and on time to support planning and maintain data integrity

  • Experience in international/local sales, marketing, or education companies

Purpose of the Job:

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the position of TVET Sales Representative: Gauteng. The successful candidate will manage and grow sales within a geographic territory by securing new and maintaining existing adoptions, while delivering excellent service to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma, preferably in Education
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Sales role
  • Experience working for international and local companies, ideally in sales, marketing, or education
  • Proven ability to negotiate with lecturers, education officials, or other decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of the South African education landscape
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in office productivity software
  • Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:
