Job Description

Saama, a Carlyle Portfolio Company, is seeking a UDMH Data Modeler with strong Healthcare domain knowledge and IBM UDMH experience. The role involves reviewing and redefining data models. Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and contributing to data modeling standards. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in software development, particularly in Data, Analytics, and Information Management platforms, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Must have:
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical data models
  • Create physical data models based on the logical data model
  • Contribute to ongoing updates to data modeling standards and guidelines
  • Review and redefine IBM UDMH model as required
Good to have:
  • Experience with ERWIN data modelling tool
  • Experience with IDA data modelling tool

We are looking for someone with strong Healthcare domain knowledge, data modelling skills with IBM UDMH experience. To work with us, review the model, redefine as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Healthcare domain knowledge, data modelling skills with IBM UDMH experience.
  • Should possess In-depth knowledge & working experience in the Healthcare domain.
  • Experience defining data strategy and roadmap
  • Strong working experience in Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling experience
  • Hands-on and expert knowledge in IBM Unified Data Model for Healthcare (IBM UDMH)
  • Experience with Data Integration skills loading data into IBM UDMH
  • Experience defining approach and data model strategy
  • Cloud database(s) experience with GCP knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and solution patterns
  • Be a subject matter expert in insurance and a champion of data management best practices
  • Experience in latest version of Data Modelling tools – ERWIN, IDA preferred
  • Proficient in SQL for data analysis
  • Experience working in Agile environment

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical data models

Experience & Education

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • 8 + years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in Data, Analytics, Information Management platforms

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical DemandsThis position requires the frequent and repetitive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Hand and finger dexterity is required.
