Intel is seeking an experienced Post Silicon Validation Engineer for the Thunderbolt HW SV group in Haifa, Israel. This role involves validating Thunderbolt 5 technology, which offers 80Gbps data transfer, supporting 4K displays, fast data, and quick charging via USB-C. The engineer will work with high-speed interfaces like TBT/PCIe/USB3.2, focusing on post-silicon validation, debug, automation, and Python scripting. The position requires a deep understanding of hardware designs, software, OS flows, and specifications, involving collaboration with architecture, design, software, and pre-silicon validation teams.
Must have:
  • BS.c in Electrical engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in System Validation
  • Take part in diverse development challenges
  • Work on cutting edge technologies
  • Experience post silicon validation, debug, automation and python script writing
  • Deep understanding of HW designs, SW and OS flows and specifications
  • Interface with Architecture, Design, SW and Pre-silicon Validation teams
Good to have:
  • Python programming skills
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces like PCIe or USB
  • Experience with Logic and protocol analysers

Thunderbolt 5 brings Thunderbolt to USB-C at 80Gbps, fulfilling its promise, creating one compact port that does it all.

Computer ports with Thunderbolt5 provide 80Gbps Thunderbolt – double the speed of the previous generation, USB 3.2x2 20Gbps, and DisplayPort 2.1 and PCIe gen5.

For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display and billions of USB devices. In Thunderbolt mode, a single cable now provides four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while supplying power.

Thunderbolt HW SV group is looking for an experienced engineer to join its post silicon validation activities.

The role requires deep understanding of our products-HW designs, SW and OS flows and specifications.

It involves many interfaces with Architecture, Design, SW and Pre-silicon Validation teams.

Qualifications:

  • BS.c in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in System Validation
  • Python is advantage
  • Knowledge of high-speed interface (like PCIe\\USB) is advantage
  • Experience with Logic and protocol analysers is an advantage
