Job Description
- Automation and scripting knowledge.
- Experience with disaster recovery and restoration of NetBackup environment.
- Experience with SLP and lifecycle policies in Netbackup.
- Experience with restore test and validations using Netbackup, NetApp & PPDM.
- Install, manage, and support Veritas NetBackup and related systems.
- Monitor and optimize backup environment performance.
- Provide technical support for backup software platforms.
- Perform customer initiated restore requests.
- Knowledge of Netbackup along with DD and other storage boxes.
- Experience in Build and configure of Netbackup Master/Media servers, NetApp, PPDM & Data Domain.

Job Description
- Backup JD for Veritas NetBackup, NetApp, DELL PPDM & Data Domain
- Installs, Manage, Configure, Administer, maintains, and supports of Veritas NetBackup Master & Media servers & Appliances, NetApp, DELL PPDM & Data Domain
- Perform backup environment system tuning including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
- Perform daily routine maintenance
- Provide Technical Support on Backup Software, Monitor backup job schedule and performance.
- Support Backup and Recovery software platforms.
- Support service provisioning activities, including: Service starts, stops, suspends, etc.
- Perform customer initiated Restore requests.
- Plans, schedules and performs proactive maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades and patch installation on Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms.
- Identify potential solution(s) to issues and determine any risk
- Plan for maintenance and updates
- As a Backup Admin you will Monitor and manage backup capacity
- Should be strong in Netbackup along with DD and other storage boxes
- Should have experience in Build and configure of Netbackup Master/Media servers, NetApp, PPDM & Data Domain and its components.
- Knowledge on Backup and Restore for physical servers, VM's, database for Netbackup, NetApp, PPDM & Data Domain
- Should have thorough knowledge on restore procedure of various types including File system, database, VMs, Bare metal etc.
- Diaster Recovery, restoration of NetBackup, NetApp & PPDM environment
- SLP and lifecycle policies in Netbackup
- Restore test and validations using Netbackup, NetApp & PPDM
- Automation, scripting knowledge will be added advantage.
- Troubleshooting of Problems/Issues in Netbackup, NetApp & PPDM backup and restore jobs.
