VFX Production Assistant

Alt.vfx is seeking an experienced and passionate VFX Production Assistant to join their world-class team in Brisbane. The role involves supporting Producers, Production Manager, and Production Coordinator in day-to-day activities, general production errands, and tasks on assigned projects. This includes assisting with meetings, note-taking, setting up dailies, updating production scheduling software like Flow Production Tracking and Farmers Wife, and managing outsource brief requests. The ideal candidate will work with Alt's team to provide clients with exceptional quality work and experience.
Must have:
- Assist and support Producers, Production Manager, and Production Coordinator in day-to-day activities and tasks.
- Act as an assistant to the Production Coordinator and Producer for follow-ups after meetings.
- Take notes and gather information in meetings, dailies, and on the VFX floor.
- Set up dailies sessions, notify crew, take and distribute dailies notes.
- Update production scheduling software such as Flow Production Tracking and Farmers Wife.
- Maintain project management software like Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking).
- Work closely with IO managing outsource brief requests and vendor contact.
- Perform other duties as defined by Production, including general personal tasks (client services, staff lunches).
- Proficiency in GSuite, Farmers Wife, Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), and Adobe Acrobat/Creative Cloud.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with crew.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent organisation skills and high attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn.

Alt.vfx is on the hunt for an experienced and passionate VFX Production Assistant to join our world-class team. The ideal candidate thrives on maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members, as well as supporting a world class visual effects production crew creating stunning visuals for clients worldwide across commercials, film and television.
Tasks:
- Assists and supports Producers, Production Manager, and Production Coordinator in day-to-day activities, general production errands, and tasks on assigned projects.
- Acts as an assistant to the Production Coordinator and Producer to help follow up on items after dailies and internal meetings
- note taking and information gathering in meetings, dailies and on the VFX floor
- Setting up dailies sessions, notifying crew of dailies times and location, Dailies notes taking and distribution to artists
- Updating production scheduling software such as Flow Production Tracking and Farmers Wife
- Maintains project management software such as Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking) when relevant
- Working closely with IO managing outsource brief requests and maintaining contact with vendors regarding feedback, working within the milestones/timelines of the project.
- Other duties as defined by Production, such as general personal tasks (client services, staff lunches, etc)
