IGN Entertainment, a division of Ziff Davis, Inc., is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead its high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, a passion for managing and mentoring a team, and a robust network of relationships across diverse consumer accounts. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and cultivating key relationships with decision-makers in technology, automotive, CPG, alcohol, telecommunications, government, retail, and QSR sectors. The VP will also be responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, and creative deal-making, leveraging IGN's portfolio of advertising and media solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Motivate, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve and consistently exceed ambitious sales targets. Foster a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and collaborative success.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand our market share and drive significant revenue growth across new and existing accounts.
- Cultivate Key Relationships: Leverage your extensive network and build new, lasting relationships with key decision-makers across a variety of consumer-facing verticals, including but not limited to:
- Technology
- Automotive
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- Alcohol
- Telecommunications
- Government & Federal Agencies
- Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs)
- Retail
- Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and pipelines. Provide accurate and timely reports to the executive team on sales performance and market trends.
- Creative Deal-Making: Think outside the box to structure innovative and compelling advertising and 360 media solutions that meet the unique needs of our diverse clientele. Our portfolio includes display/media, original shows, tentpole sponsorships, branded content, social first, experiential, programmatic, and commerce.
- Market Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on the digital media landscape, staying ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Problem-Solving Powerhouse: Identify challenges and roadblocks, both internally and externally, and proactively implement effective solutions to keep the sales engine running smoothly.
Qualifications and Desired Attributes:
- Proven Sales Leadership: 10+ years of experience in digital media sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a successful, quota-carrying sales team.
- Track Record of Success: Demonstrable and consistent history of leading a team to meet and exceed sales goals in a competitive market.
- Extensive Client Network: A strong, existing network of senior-level relationships (both client and agency side) across the tech, auto, CPG, alcohol, telco, government, retail, and QSR sectors is essential.
- Jet Setter: You are happy to travel for the role - as you will manage client relationships on a national level and teams based in LA, Chicago, and New York.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Work Schedule: Standard full-time working schedule, M-F. Due to the nature of this role and client needs, there is an expectation for this position to work weekends, holidays, and hours outside of a standard 8-hour a day working schedule.
- Travel Requirements: This role does involve frequent domestic and international travel for team check-ins, client meetings, and industry events.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves typical office and computer-based activities, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing and frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision for tasks such as operating a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Frequent travel is required, which could include lifting and carrying materials, and navigating airports, hotels, and other venues. - Work Model: This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA, and will be required to work out of our offices 3 days per week.
