The Sales Representative on the Commerce Sales Team proactively contacts prospective and current GoDaddy customers via outbound calls, focusing on those processing high payment volumes with other providers. This specialist educates and consults on GoDaddy's services, including Payments, Social, SEO, and Website Design, guiding merchants to the best solutions for their business and identifying best practices.

Must Have

  • Proactively contact prospective and existing customers via phone and email for new opportunities.
  • Consult with customers on business needs, matching GoDaddy products/solutions to commerce goals.
  • Understand and overcome small business objections through effective communication.
  • Build trust and communicate effectively, meeting call quality and production standards.
  • Meet sales metrics including outbound dials, gross payment volume, and Net Promoter Score.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, maintaining accurate records.
  • 3+ years outbound/inbound experience in payments, merchant acquisition, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Experience using a CRM or other customer management software.

Job Description

Location: At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is an in-office position. You’ll be expected to work full-time in our Tempe office. All relocations or changes to your permanent work location are subject to prior review and approval. Should a need to relocate arise during your tenure at GoDaddy, please reach out to your manager for additional guidance. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Seattle, WA or the Virgin Islands. Compensation: As with many sales roles, our compensation combines both an hourly rate of $17, as well as a generous bonus. The great news is that in 2024, the Guides who met the minimum expectations of the position were at $87,000 annually. Schedule: This role may require working holidays, evenings, and weekends. Join our team Your role on the Commerce Sales Team is to proactively reach out to prospective and current GoDaddy customers via outbound calls who are currently processing a high volume of payments through another provider. As a commerce sales specialist, you will educate and consult with them on the many services now offered by GoDaddy, including but not limited to Payments, Social, SEO, and Website Design. You will focus on guiding merchants to the best fit for their business along with identifying best practices. What you'll get to do… * Contacting prospective small business customers and existing GoDaddy customers via phone (Outbound Sales calls) and via email to uncover new opportunities. * Consult with customers about their business needs by matching GoDaddy products and/or solutions to their commerce goals, while identifying existing pain points to determine how GoDaddy’s platform could address those needs. * Understanding and overcoming small business objections through effective communication of GoDaddy’s offerings. * Build trust, interact, and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization, while meeting high call quality and production standards as pre-determined by leadership. * Meet sales metrics that could include but are not limited to outbound dials, gross payment volume, and Net Promoter Score. * Demonstrate ownership for issues pertaining to customer service questions, including by researching and providing solutions for issues of moderate complexity. * Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to all customer throughout the entire sales cycle while maintaining accurate and updated records for all activities in the system. Your experience should include… * Experience working at a Payments company or owning and/or operating a small and/or midsize business (SMB)/extensive knowledge of internet technology. * 3+ year outbound and/or inbound experience in payments, merchant acquisition, fintech, or similar industries. * A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. * Ability to meet sales quotas while providing a great customer experience throughout entire sales cycle. * A self-driven and dedicated attitude, disciplined work ethic and motivation to drive revenue growth, while creating long term customer relationships. * Dynamic hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential * Experience using a CRM or other customer management software. * Great interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive, multi-task, and prioritize in a high-volume, dynamic environment with ability to promote and build extraordinary customer rapport.
