Job Summary
Wildlife Studios is seeking a passionate Visual Effects Game Artist to join their Game Art Team in São Paulo. This role involves crafting user interface elements, developing UX, and collaborating with Art Directors, Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to deliver user-friendly experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience in visual design, strong communication skills, and a game developer mindset, creating optimized design assets under deadlines while supporting game branding.
Must Have
- Create the design of all elements related to user interfaces (menus, illustrations, HUD, pop-ups, key visuals, UI style guides, Design System)
- Develop the UX of games (prototypes, wireframe, mockups)
- Work closely with Art Directors to establish a cohesive look for games
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to deliver user-friendly experiences
- Create and implement optimized design assets with understanding of player experience
- Solve problems related to Visual Design and connected areas
- Possess good oral and written communication skills in English
- Have a resume and an online portfolio showcasing work
- Be available for hybrid work
- Knowledge and taste in composition, colors, layout, and typography
- Experience building and maintaining Design System, Style Guides, and Libraries
- Multidisciplinary approach with illustration and UX design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Good to Have
- Experience working in games, especially mobile titles
- Affinity with First-Person Shooter games
- Knowledge of at least one game engine (especially Unity)
- Understanding of the game development pipeline
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics, illustration, and 3D asset creation

We're looking for a talented and passionate Visual Effects Game Artist to join Wildlife's Game Art Team in São Paulo.

Our Visual Designers work on finding solutions to complex systems with a focus on visual clarity and design cohesiveness. The Visual Designers collaborate with artists, Product Managers, Engineering and creative leaders to establish the first and most important point of contact with the players, the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). They also help build and maintain a solid visual identity for our IPs inside and outside our games.

What you'll do
- Craft: You will create the design of all elements related to user interfaces, including: menus, Illustrations, HUD, pop-ups, key visuals, UI style guides, Design System; you will also develop the UX of our games, including: prototypes, wireframe and mockups.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with Art Directors to help establish a cohesive look for our games. You will also work with various other disciplines such as Product Managers, Engineers and Designers to deliver user-friendly experiences to our players.
- Game Developer Mindset: You will create and implement optimized design assets with your understanding of how players experience content while working under tight deadlines.
- Problem Solving: You will have the opportunity to work on different projects and use your skills to solve problems related to Visual Design and connected areas.
- Communication: You will use your excellent communication skills in a collaborative and diverse work environment.
- Branding: Support additional designs for game specific branding inside and outside the game.
What you'll need
- Experience as a Visual Designer, UI Artist, UX/UI Designer or similar role.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- A resume and an online portfolio showcasing your work.
- Availability for hybrid work
Nice to Have
- You have experience working in games; especially mobile titles
- You have affinity with First-Person Shooter games
- You know your way around at least one game engine (especially Unity) and understand the various parts of the game development pipeline.

- Multidisciplinary: You are a visual designer with a multidisciplinary approach, you have illustration and UX design.
- Visual Presentation: You care about presentation, you have an online portfolio with proven experience designing interfaces for products on mobile platforms.
- Software Expertise: You know your way through Adobe Creative Suite and are curious to learn new software. You are also up to date with screen design tools, such as Figma.
