Job Summary
As a VR Developer, you will be the driving force behind the VR Commentator product, a tool used by major sports organizations to create real-time digital content. You will collaborate with skilled developers and artists, integrating cutting-edge VR tech from Meta Quest headsets to potential face and body tracking. This role involves solving complex technical challenges in Unity, optimizing data structures, and experimenting with OpenXR, all while contributing to the future of digital sports engagement through data and entertainment.
Must Have
- Drive the VR Commentator product development
- Collaborate with developers and artists to meet high product standards
- Integrate cutting-edge VR tech
- Support and motivate colleagues by sharing knowledge
- Debug complex asynchronous processes and optimize data structures
- Work on-site at Alkmaar office (40 hours per week)
- Live in the Netherlands (or willing to move) and eligible to work in the EU
- 3+ years of professional work experience with Unity3D
- Strong knowledge of C# development
- Experience with Meta Quest devices
- Solid experience with Asynchronous programming and Debugging
- Proficiency with GIT or similar version control systems
- Bachelor (HBO) level working and thinking capability
- Knowledge of OpenXR
Good to Have
- Experience with facial/body tracking (e.g., Quest Pro, Vive trackers)

What Your Day Will Look Like
As a VR Developer, you’ll be the driving force behind our VR Commentator product, a tool used by some of the largest sports organisations in the world to create real-time digital content.
Each day, you’ll collaborate with highly skilled developers and artists to reach the high standards we set for our products. You won’t just be writing code; you will be the dedicated owner of the VR Commentator solution, ensuring it is robust, performant, and ready for the global stage.
You’ll work on integrating cutting-edge VR tech, from Meta Quest headsets to potential face and body tracking implementations. You will also support and motivate your colleagues, sharing your knowledge of new technologies and methods to help the whole team advance.
Whether you are debugging complex asynchronous processes, optimising data structures, or experimenting with OpenXR, you’ll be at the heart of shaking up the industry through data and entertainment.

This role is based on-site at our office (40 hours per week). You’ll need to be living in the Netherlands (or willing to move) and eligible to work in the EU.
Tech Stack and Skill Requirements
You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s what we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of professional work experience with Unity3D.
- Strong knowledge of C# development.
- Experience with Meta Quest devices (or similar VR hardware).
- Solid experience with Asynchronous programming and Debugging.
- Proficiency with GIT or similar version control systems.
- Bachelor (HBO) level working and thinking capability.
- Knowledge of OpenXR
- Nice to have: Experience with facial/body tracking (e.g., Quest Pro, Vive trackers).
