WABC is seeking a Graphic Artist/Broadcast Designer who will be supporting our Eyewitness Newscasts. Eyewitness News is the No.1 local news and information source. We are looking for someone who understands and can work within our brand. We seek a designer to create mainly still graphics with strong communication skills to work in a team environment.

Please include a portfolio showcasing various design projects, including digital, print, broadcast, and media, with your resume.

Daily Hire is an employee hired to work on a daily basis with no requirement of a regular schedule.

What You Will Do:

• Create design solutions that visually convey a particular message, idea, or concept

• Design for broadcast, digital, and print

• Maintain brand authenticity throughout all creative work

Required Qualifications & Skills 

• Minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience

• Expert technical skills in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Illustrator

• Some knowledge of After Effects

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced news environment with tight deadlines

• Must be willing to work any shift, including holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current events - news, entertainment and sports

• Knowledge of Google Earth Map

Required Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Preferred Education:

• BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media or relevant work experience

The pay rate for this daily hire role in New York is $34/hour.
