Job Description

As a WiFi SW Development Engineering Manager at Apple, you will build revolutionary networking system software, making a significant impact on the WiFi industry. This role involves crafting, improving, and maintaining WiFi networking subsystem software for various Apple products. You will drive technical ownership to deliver superior end-to-end connectivity quality and innovate user experiences for millions. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to balance customer experience with product constraints like regulatory requirements, power efficiency, and thermal considerations.

Must Have:
  • Strong technical background and hands-on experience in wireless networking, particularly in WiFi protocols (802.11 standards), MAC/PHY layers, and system-level software design
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale software development teams, ideally in embedded-systems and connectivity-related domains
  • Proficient understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols and their intrinsic interaction with WiFi SW stack on end-to-end user experience
  • Ability to drive technical strategy and execution, balancing product goals, technical complexity, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong execution through ambiguity and meaningful risk/reward analysis
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring, growing talent, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
