Job Description

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role within a busy warehouse environment. The Workshop Engineer is responsible for preparing, testing, repairing, and configuring gaming terminals to a high standard, ensuring they are ready for deployment. This includes quality control, inventory tracking, and occasional assistance with large deliveries or machine disposals. Attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a proactive attitude are essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in delivering quality work, and is comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced operational setting.
Good To Have:
  • Previous experience in a similar electronic workshop or engineering role
  • Familiarity with PAT testing procedures (training can be provided)
  • Experience with gaming or vending terminals
  • Experience handling heavy goods up to 200kg
Must Have:
  • Carry out full functional testing, cleaning, and basic repairs on a wide range of gaming equipment
  • Configure terminals to customer specifications using provided tools and tablets
  • Apply latest software/firmware and technical updates as required
  • Ensure all equipment undergoes PAT testing and complies with health and safety standards
  • Accurately record all physical movements of machines within the stock control system
  • Perform regular inventory and stock checks to maintain data accuracy and stock integrity
  • Support preparation of machines for disposal or scrappage
  • Assist with large deliveries when required (including moving or offloading stock)
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free working environment
  • Report faults, hazards, or stock discrepancies to the Workshop Supervisor promptly
  • Ensure stock processes are accurately and always followed
  • Practical experience working with electrical or mechanical equipment
  • Comfortable using tablets and workshop diagnostic tools
  • Ability to follow technical instructions precisely
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
  • Good understanding of workplace health & safety
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to work in a manual handling environment
  • PC literate
