Software Engineer

SS&C Wealth & Investment Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer in Hyderabad for a hybrid role. This position involves developing high-quality code based on technical designs, collaborating with peers and managers, performing unit testing, and supporting QA. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in C#, .Net, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with strong skills in Data Structures, Design Patterns, problem-solving, and troubleshooting. The role offers a unique opportunity to blend financial industry knowledge with technology skills in a vibrant, international environment, contributing to scalable solutions for investment management.

Must Have

• Develop high-quality code on schedule based on a technical design.
• Work closely with peers, project and product managers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support QA for system testing and bug resolution.
• Understand functional and technical design and develop as per specifications.
• Ensure code is testable, tested, follows best practices, and is scalable for high performance.
• Provide operational support by fixing production issues.
• 2-4 years of non-internship programming experience in C#, .Net, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good experience with Data Structures and Design Patterns.
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with MS SQL server.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working in Agile and knowledge of Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience on Capital markets / Investment Banking domain.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Developing high-quality code on schedule, based on a technical design.
• Work closely with peers, project and product managers to deliver scalable solutions
• Performing unit testing and working closely with our QA team to support system testing and bug resolution.
• Understand functional design and technical design and develop as per specifications.
• Ensure that code is testable and is tested and follow best practices while coding. Ensure that code is scalable for high performance scenarios. Execute unit testing for the new functionality developed.
• Contributing to the development community by researching new technology and development tools.
• Provide operational support by fixing production issues

What You Will Bring:

• 2 - 4 years of non-internship programming experience in C#, .Net, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good experience with Data Structures and Design Patterns
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with MS SQL server.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Participation in large-scale collaborative projects.
• Experience working in Agile and knowledge of Scrum/Kanban a plus but not required
• Experience on Capital markets / Investment Banking domain is an added advantage
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, Attention to detail, positive attitude under stress, Self-motivated and good team player
