Job Summary
As a Business Analyst at SS&C, you will partner with Product Managers and clients to deliver new features and enhancements for a Money Market portal. This involves understanding business needs, translating them into clear requirements, and collaborating with delivery teams in an Agile environment. You will lead discovery sessions, document various requirements, and support the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet client needs and strategic objectives.
Must Have
- Act as a trusted, client-facing Business Analyst.
- Partner closely with the Product Manager.
- Deliver new features and enhancements for a Money Market portal.
- Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Understand business needs and stakeholder requirements.
- Translate needs into clear, value-driven requirements.
- Lead and facilitate requirements discovery sessions and workshops.
- Document business, stakeholder, functional, non-functional, and transitional requirements.
- Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to shape and validate solutions.
- Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide clarity and direction during sprint and Agile ceremonies.
- Support UAT and facilitate client sign-off.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a client-facing, Agile delivery environment.
- Experience within Money Markets or closely related financial markets.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document requirements.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills (BPMN, UML, Data modelling, data flow analysis).
- Experience working with data and databases (e.g., SQL Server).
- Ability to critically assess stakeholder input and challenge constructively.
- Experience working with focused, cross-functional delivery teams.
- Customer- and client-focused mindset.
Good to Have
- Experience working on digital platforms or portals within Money Markets, investments, or institutional financial services.
- Familiarity with industry-standard financial messaging protocols and data formats (FIX, ISO 15022, ISO 20022, XML, JSON, CSV).
- Experience applying Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) practices, including writing scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
- Working knowledge of analysis and delivery tools (Jira, Enterprise Architect, Salesforce, Confluence, Microsoft Office suite).
- Experience supporting new client onboarding, including configuration, data mapping, and integration analysis.
- IIBA business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent).
- US securities or investment operations qualification relevant to institutional or Money Market products.

What You Will Get To Do
- Act as a trusted, client-facing Business Analyst partnering closely with the Product Manager to deliver new features and enhancements for a Money Market portal.
- Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, stakeholder requirements and workflows translating these into clear, value-driven requirements.
- Lead and facilitate requirements discovery sessions and workshops, critically assessing information provided and constructively challenging assumptions.
- Document business, stakeholder, functional, non-functional and transitional requirements, producing high-quality business and business-technical documentation that is clear, accurate, and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to shape and validate solutions that balance client needs, regulatory obligations, and strategic product objectives.
- Translate requirements into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that support efficient Agile delivery.
- Provide clarity and direction during sprint and Agile ceremonies, support UAT and facilitate client sign-off.
- Be an advocate for high-quality Business Analysis across the division, supporting the Head of Profession to embed best practice, improve ways of working, and promote consistent standards.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a client-facing, Agile delivery environment, working as part of a globally distributed delivery team.
- Demonstrable experience within Money Markets or closely related financial markets (e.g. cash, liquidity, short-term investments, or institutional banking platforms).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment, with hands-on experience contributing to sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements to a high standard.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, including:
- Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) and UML
- Data modelling and data flow analysis
- Experience working with data and databases (e.g. SQL Server) to support analysis, validation, and issue investigation.
- Ability to critically assess stakeholder input, challenge constructively, and provide informed recommendations.
- Experience working with focused, cross-functional delivery teams, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Customer- and client-focused mindset, with an appreciation for accuracy, transparency, and trust in financial products.
Desirable
- Experience working on digital platforms or portals within Money Markets, investments, or institutional financial services.

Colorado: Salary range for the position: 121,000 USD to 131,000 USD.
