The AppleCare Business Operations team is seeking a dynamic Worldwide Service Supply Demand Product Planner. This role involves managing demand forecasting and planning for a segment of the AppleCare business, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging analytics to enhance forecasting methods. The candidate will analyze extensive data, identify key trends, and effectively communicate forecast impacts to diverse audiences, while driving innovative processes to deliver exceptional customer service.
Must have:
  • Manage demand forecasting and planning for a part of the AppleCare business
  • Work with cross-functional teams and use analytics to build and improve forecasting methods
  • Analyze large amounts of data, identify significant trends, and adjust to meet evolving demand
  • Effectively communicate data analysis and forecast impacts to a broad audience
  • Be a creative problem solver, passionate about building, maintaining, and driving innovative processes
  • Make sound planning decisions and support them with analysis and insights backed by data
  • Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for unexpected demand changes
  • Work with cross-functional team members in Engineering, Procurement, Channels, Readiness, Capacity Planning, and Supply Planning
  • Execute cost-effective supply chain solutions for AppleCare
  • Play a leadership role in the standardization of deliverables and ensure adherence to commitments
Good to have:
  • MS/MBA in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Good programming skills in SQL and Python or R
  • Experience with database technologies like Teradata, Oracle and MySQL

The AppleCare Business Operations team is looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate for the position of Worldwide Service Supply Demand Product Planner. This role is an opportunity for a dedicated individual to apply their eye for business, technical skills, project management skills, and analytical skills to deliver timely and relevant demand forecasts. The Worldwide Service Supply Demand Product Planner will manage demand forecasting and planning for a part of the AppleCare business. The candidate needs to be confident in working with cross-functional teams and in using analytics to build and improve forecasting method. They will be required to analyze large amounts of data, identify significant trends, and adjust to meet an ever-evolving demand landscape. The candidate should also be able to effectively communicate data analysis and forecast impacts to a broad audience of AppleCare internal customers. The candidate should be a creative problem solver, who is passionate about building, maintaining, and driving innovative process and methods to deliver outstanding customer service

We make sound planning decisions and support those decisions with analysis and insights backed up with data. As a team, we complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for any unexpected demand changes. You work with cross-functional team members in Engineering, Procurement, Channels, Readiness, Capacity Planning, and Supply Planning to execute the most cost-effective supply chain solutions for AppleCare. You will play a leadership role in the standardization of deliverables; ensuring adherence to commitments.

  • BS degree, 5 years in a service, manufacturing, logistics operation or equivalent.
  • Experience in forecasting or planning
  • Adept at merging data from a variety of sources to generate conclusions through analysis Expertise in creating reports and analytics dashboards in Tableau
  • MS/MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus.
  • Good programming skills in SQL and Python or R preferred
  • Experience with database technologies like Teradata, Oracle and MySQL preferred

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $113,600 and $214,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
