Job Description
The Network News team at TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Writer to contribute to the daily production of news programs, including newscasts and special coverage. Responsibilities include copy-editing news stories and correspondent scripts, translating from English to Spanish, revising spelling for graphics, and reacting quickly to breaking news and show updates. A flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in communication/Journalism or equivalent experience, strong news judgment, excellent writing skills, and the ability to handle breaking news and take initiative. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential, along with attention to detail and strong communication abilities.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Responsible for working on the daily production of news programs including newscasts and special coverage.
- Copy-edit news stories including correspondents’ scripts
- Translate aptly from English to Spanish
- Revise spelling for graphics and supers
- Quick reaction to breaking news and possible show news updates
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication/Journalism or equivalent experience
- Strong news judgment
- Excellent writing skills.
- Fast reacting to breaking news
- Ability to step out of the box and take charge of situations.
- 2 years’ experience writing
- Fluent in English & Spanish (read and write)
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills
