Job Description

The WSoC PHY/MAC Validation and Integration Engineer will design, integrate, and validate PHY layer components for wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, and UWB. This role involves implementing and optimizing DSP algorithms for signal modulation, demodulation, filtering, and error correction to enhance wireless performance. The engineer will conduct FPGA and chip-level bring-up, debug, and validate PHY interfaces, PHY/RF/MAC functionalities, and performance. They will troubleshoot integration issues, design and execute testing scripts, validate algorithms on real silicon, and bring up cutting-edge physical layer wireless communication system algorithms for various connectivity applications. The engineer will also develop and implement test plans, collect and analyze results, and debug issues.
Must Have:
  • Design, integrate, and validate PHY layer components for wireless communication protocols.
  • Implement and optimize DSP algorithms for signal processing.
  • Conduct FPGA and chip-level bring-up and validation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues at chip level.
  • Design, execute and automate PHY/MAC testing scripts.
  • Validate and characterize algorithms on real silicon.
