Job Summary

The SPC (Statistical Process Control) Engineer is responsible for leveraging statistical methods in manufacturing processes to promote quality stabilization and continuous improvement. This role involves close collaboration with Process Engineers and Process Integration Engineers to enhance process capability and prevent abnormal occurrences. The engineer will also aim to stabilize and improve manufacturing quality through business process improvements related to SPC and the introduction of effective monitoring methods.

Must Have

  • Manage and execute assigned project schedules.
  • Understand basic SPC concepts and collaborate to improve SPC activities.
  • Develop, apply, optimize, and provide innovative solutions for SPC systems.
  • Implement business process improvements and quality enhancement measures.
  • Troubleshoot SPC systems.
  • Collaborate with local and global project teams for optimal solutions.
  • Lead daily SPC Health Check activities and cooperate with PEE/PIE to detect and reduce chronic abnormalities.

  • General knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Basic understanding of statistics and statistical calculation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of product structure.
  • Understanding of Defense Line concept.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand, present, educate, and develop technical content.
  • Understanding of data flow between product measurement data and IT hosts.
  • Smooth communication and collaboration skills within and outside the team.
  • Time management and multitasking ability.
  • Basic operation skills in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
  • Programming skills such as R/Python/SQL.
  • Basic English communication skills (high school graduate level).
  • Basic Japanese communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent practical experience.

The SPC (Statistical Process Control) Engineer is responsible for leveraging statistical methods in manufacturing processes to promote quality stabilization and continuous improvement. This role involves close collaboration with Process Engineers and Process Integration Engineers to enhance process capability and prevent excursions (abnormal occurrences). The engineer will also aim to stabilize and improve manufacturing quality through business process improvements related to SPC and the introduction of effective monitoring methods.

Job Details:

  • Schedule management and execution of assigned projects.
  • Understand basic concepts of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and collaborate with each area to improve SPC activities.
  • Develop, apply to production, optimize, and provide innovative solutions for SPC systems.
  • Implement business process improvements and quality enhancement measures.
  • Troubleshoot SPC systems.
  • Collaborate with local and global project teams to provide optimal solutions.
  • Lead daily SPC Health Check activities and cooperate with PEE/PIE to detect chronic abnormalities and promote continuous reduction.
