Job Summary

Micron’s Singapore Process Development (PD) team is seeking an engineer to lead process development in Oxidation, Diffusion, Cell Films, and Ion Implant for advanced NAND Flash technologies. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing processes, characterizing thin film processes, leading experiments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development and transfer of cutting-edge semiconductor nodes. The engineer will also manage technical projects and contribute to fundamental research initiatives.

Must Have

  • Design, develop, and optimize processes for Oxidation, Diffusion, Cell Films, and Ion Implant.
  • Characterize and troubleshoot thin film processes using advanced metrology and analysis tools.
  • Lead experiments using statistical methods (DOE, SPC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support technology transfer and ramp-up activities.
  • Document process changes and maintain control systems.
  • Manage technical projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process fundamentals, especially in thin film deposition and ion implantation.

Good to Have

  • Experience in cleanroom process development and pilot line support is preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for business and support global technology transfer.

Job Description

Micron’s Singapore Process Development (PD) team within Technology Development (TD) is seeking a talented engineer to lead process development in Oxidation, Diffusion, Cell Films, and Ion Implant for advanced NAND Flash technologies. You will drive innovation in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition (LPCVD), and Ion implantation processes, supporting the development and transfer of cutting-edge semiconductor nodes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize processes for Oxidation, Diffusion, Cell Films, and Ion Implant to meet product specifications and program timelines.
  • Characterize and troubleshoot thin film processes using advanced metrology and analysis tools.
  • Lead experiments using statistical methods (DOE, SPC) to improve process capability and reduce variability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Integration, Metrology, Surface Characterization, Electrical Failure Analysis, Yield Enhancement, Manufacturing, and Equipment Vendors.
  • Support technology transfer and ramp-up activities for new products across global manufacturing sites.
  • Document process changes, maintain control systems, and ensure robust process performance.
  • Manage technical projects and contribute to fundamental research initiatives.
  • Provide weekend support for R&D pilot line operations when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process fundamentals, especially in thin film deposition and ion implantation.
  • Experience in cleanroom process development and pilot line support is preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for business and support global technology transfer.
