Fool's Theory seeks a Cinematic Designer to create blockout and first-pass cinematics in Unreal Engine for a new game developed in partnership with CD PROJEKT RED.  Responsibilities include collaborating with animation, art, and design teams; building high-quality cinematics in Unreal Engine; integrating animations, VFX, and camera work; maintaining cinematics in an iterative environment; and contributing to cinematic team goal planning.  The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cinematic language, excellent Unreal Engine and Sequencer skills, and knowledge of Motion Builder.     <h2>About the job</h2><p>We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game <em><a target="_blank" href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/471010/Seven_Enhanced_Edition/">Seven: The Days Long Gone</a></em> and <em><a target="_blank" href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/1684350/The_Thaumaturge/">The Thaumaturge.</a></em><br>We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on a project developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.<br><br>We are looking for a Cinematic Designer to join our Cinematics team.In this role you will build blockout and first-pass cinematics based on the requirements of gameplay and level design. You will ensure that all cinematics are authored and maintained consistently throughout the project, from initial integration to final production delivery.<br>You will become a member of a content team responsible for crafting a compelling cinematic experience in our games.</p><p>Sounds interesting? <li>Collaborate with Animation, Art, and Design to build exciting cinematics.</li>
<li>Build high quality blockout cinematics in Unreal.</li>
<li>Process and integrate character animations, visual effects, and camera work.</li>
<li>Independently maintain and handle cinematics in a highly iterative environment.</li>
<li>Consult on the planning of cinematic team goals.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot problems in a collaborative and communicative way.</li>
<li>In addition to core responsibilities, you will be encouraged to take ownership of key features with minimal direction, in support of the Cinematic Design Lead and the Cinematics team.</li>
</ul><h2>Requirements</h2><ul>
<li>Deep understanding of cinematic language, camera work and editing.</li>
<li>Excellent proficiency in Unreal Engine and Sequencer.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Motion Builder.</li>
<li>Open mind and willingness to discuss and learn.</li>
<li>Proactive demeanour and strong problem-solving skills.</li>

<li>Knowledge of composition and cinematography, with the ability to analyse and apply these principles.</li>
<li>Takes initiative to do creative cross-departmental brainstorming</li>
<li>Experience in non-linear storytelling</li>
