Tasks
 
<ul>
<li>Executing test plans to test development builds</li>
<li>Finding and reporting bugs using JIRA to ensure quality</li>
<li>Multiple platforms testing, including PC, console, and mobile, to maintain quality and consistency</li>
<li>Performing certification test passes on alpha dev builds to prepare for submissions</li>
<li>Delivering feedback via organized playtests using Google Docs to identify whether or not the game has room for improvement</li>
<li>Participating in sprint planning via meetings with dev team to keep up to date with upcoming features</li>
<li>Delivering stable, high quality titles for the studio by working closely with production and development teams</li>
<li>Interacting directly with individual developers to further explore or identify detail about issues, to maximise bug fix efficiency</li>
<li>Demonstrating (demoing) studio titles to third parties (on-site or off-site) to showcase the game</li>
<li>Facilitating user testing sessions by working with the public to gain feedback in an unbiased way</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements
 
Essential
<ul>
<li>1+ years experience executing test plans</li>
<li>Experience working on and having shipped 1+ titles</li>
<li>Experience using QA tools such as JIRA and MS Office or G Suite</li>
<li>Familiarity with testing on Consoles and/or Mobile platforms</li>
<li>Experience providing feedback of player engagement, fun, and difficulty</li>
<li>Experience with Agile development methodologies</li>
</ul>
Desirable
<ul>
<li>Experience participating in beta events, reporting issues and feedback to developers</li>
<li>Awareness of certification requirements for platform submissions</li>
<li>Experience with live-ops, update or patching process</li>
<li>Experience with end-user testing</li>
</ul>
Skills and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Persistence; don’t give up! Especially when tasks are repetitive and long</li>
<li>Accuracy in identifying issues and their underlying causes within a game build</li>
<li>Good knowledge of “usual” problem areas. Having a good awareness of the high risk areas in games testing, where issues are most likely to be found</li>
<li>Problem solving and troubleshooting skills for finding the causes of identified issues</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable bug reporting and detailing of issues</li>
<li>Confidence learning new systems, as the games and the platforms evolve regularly</li>
<li>Work well as part of a multi-discipline team even under tight deadlines</li>
