 Role: SFTP - L1 EngineerExperience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Network SecurityLocation: MumbaiSpecialised in : Globalscape/Solarwinds Job OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated SFTP L2 Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in network security, and a strong focus on managing Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting SFTP setups, especially within Windows, Linux, and Unix environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge of network and security protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>SFTP Management:</li><li>Manage, configure, and implement SFTP solutions.</li><li>Integrate SFTP solutions with various tools for management, authentication, and authorization (email, AD, IAM, SIEM).</li><li>Commission and implement SFTP solutions across environments such as DC/DR/Cloud and branch offices.</li><li>Troubleshoot incidents across all layers of the OSI model (Layers 1, 2, 3) related to SFTP.</li><li>Automation &amp; Integration:</li><li>Automate processes using scripting and configuration (SOAR) tools.</li><li>Integrate SFTP solutions with REST API/SDK for seamless operation with security dashboards and Infosec tools (AD, IDAM, PAM, SIEM, SOAR).</li><li>Incident &amp; Problem Management:</li><li>Handle incident, problem, service request, change, configuration, and capacity management for SFTP systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot network issues using packet capture and analysis tools such as Wireshark/Pcap.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on SFTP incidents and ensure resolution within SLAs.</li><li>Work closely with the helpdesk, IT support, and application teams for joint troubleshooting of high-priority issues.</li><li>Proactively monitor and respond to network events using monitoring tools.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Security:</li><li>Maintain and implement network security policies, standards, and procedures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements, including patch updates and upgrades.</li><li>Conduct daily performance checks, periodic audits, and maintain security infrastructure across a 24/7 setup.</li><li>Close compliance and audit points within agreed timelines.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting:</li><li>Create technical documentation including as-built network diagrams, security documentation, and inventory control records.</li><li>Prepare SOPs/Runbooks and update knowledgebases in ITSM tools.</li><li>Provide regular SLA reporting for SFTP systems and ensure timely closure of tickets within SLAs.</li><li>Collaboration &amp; Mentorship:</li><li>Coordinate with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, replacement, and reconfiguration of SFTP solutions.</li><li>Lead and mentor L1 &amp; L2 engineers, ensuring high-level technical guidance and support.</li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and resolutions to complex issues.</li></ul>
 Required Candidate ProfileExperience: <ul><li>1 to 3 years of network security experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to SFTP solutions.</li><li>Hands-on experience working in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.</li><li>Proficiency with SFTP management and deployment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of network security protocols and tools (e.g., Wireshark, Pcap).</li></ul>
Technical Skills: <ul><li>Experience in automating processes using scripting languages and SOAR tools.</li><li>Knowledge of authentication tools (Active Directory, IAM, SIEM).</li><li>Ability to manage policies, conduct packet capture analysis, and troubleshoot security incidents.</li><li>Familiarity with integrating SFTP systems with security and automation tools such as AD, IDAM, PAM, and SIEM.</li></ul>
Communication &amp; Leadership: <ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated success in managing and resolving complex technical issues.</li><li>Ability to lead a team of engineers and take ownership of technology.</li></ul>
