Wind River is seeking a talented Software Architect to join their global RTOS development teams. This role will involve designing and developing the next generation VxWorks Operating System, ensuring its security, safety, performance, and reliability. The successful candidate will collaborate with remote technical leads, mentor team members, and build a local development team.

This candidate shall collaborate with remote technical leads to lead and drive innovative ideas and design and develop new capabilities, while ensuring the core values of VxWorks in being a secure, safe, high performing and reliability operating system. This candidate will also engage in building out a local development team.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;line-height: 107.0%;">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt;line-height: 107.0%;">ABOUT YOU</div><div style="background: white;margin: 7.5pt 0.0cm 7.5pt 0.0cm;">Responsibilities:&nbsp;</div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>Be able to lead the design and development of operating system components, ensuring alignment with VxWorks core values.</li><li>Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.</li><li>Develop and deliver high quality design, code, and test following a CI/CD model and agile methodology.</li><li>Perform in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of issues, driving resolution and improvement. </li><li>Develop and enforce best practices for coding, documentation, and testing within the team. </li><li>Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.&nbsp;</li></ul><div style="background: white;margin: 7.5pt 0.0cm 7.5pt 0.0cm;">&nbsp; Qualifications/Skills:&nbsp;</div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree). &nbsp;</li><li>12-14+ years of relevant technical experience in software operation system development. &nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a development team.</li><li>Excellent in C/C++ and assembly language</li><li>Exceptional analytical and debugging skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Deep understanding of operating system concepts, such as user process management, memory management, and file systems. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience with RTOS software development such as core OS kernel capabilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Low level device driver, BSP board bring up, or architecture level development is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience with virtualization technologies is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.</li><li>Knowledge of ASPICE or automative standard a plus.</li></ul>&nbsp;<div>Security Clearance Requirements&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>Successful candidates must engage in a security clearance process&nbsp;in regards to&nbsp;their citizenship&nbsp;in order to&nbsp;perform fundamental job duties, as per&nbsp;applicable law. In particular, candidates with certain citizenship may not be able to perform such fundamental job duties. Currently, this includes citizens&nbsp;of the following countries: Belarus; Burma; China; Cuba; Iran; North Korea; Syria; Venezuela; Afghanistan; Cambodia; Central African Republic; Cyprus;&nbsp;Democratic Republic of Congo; Ethiopia; Eritrea; Haiti; Iraq; Lebanon; Libya; Russia; Somalia; South Sudan; Sudan; Zimbabwe.
