We are seeking a 3D Artist for our Rust team to contribute to the creation of various game content such as skins, props, and structures. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in all facets of 3D asset creation, a meticulous attention to detail, and a portfolio showcasing their skills. Responsibilities include creating new 3D assets like props, tileable materials, clothing, and weapons, as well as developing skins for existing assets while adhering to their limitations. Collaboration with team members and incorporating feedback are crucial. Candidates should be proficient in 3D applications like Blender, Max, or Maya, and secondary tools such as Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag, and Substance 3D Painter, with strong modeling and texturing abilities.

Job Details

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a 3D Artist to join our Rust team to help us explore creating a range of content such as skins, props and structures. Candidates should have experience with all aspects of authoring 3D assets, a keen eye for detail, and a current portfolio of work demonstrating your abilities. Candidates should have strong self-motivation, the ability to work well in, and communicate with a team based both in the office and remotely. Familiarity with Rust is a plus.   An ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of asset creation including modelling and texturing. Knowledge of skinning is favourable. Working closely with established artists at the studio, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of different assets from start to finish, with a focus on skins for existing content and new DLC items. Candidates should be familiar with working within sprints and adapting work to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of new 3D assets ranging from props, tileable materials, clothing and weapons

  • Creating skins of existing assets and working within their limitations

  • Liaising with other team members and working to feedback

Requirements

  • Skilled in a 3D app (Blender, Max, Maya) and secondary apps like Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance 3D Painter etc.

  • Strong modelling and texturing skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Comfort working from concept and without

  • Knowledge of a variety of types of asset creation, including hard surface and organic modelling as well as material creation

  • The ability to work to requirements and budgets

  • Author an asset through all stages of the creation pipeline

  • To be able to work within a team and work to feedback

  • The ability to learn new systems and workflows

  • Experience working within a game engine and asset implementation
