Rovio is looking for an Advertising Monetisation Specialist to join their team in Helsinki Metropolitan Area/Stockholm. This role involves providing ad monetization expertise to game teams, optimizing ad performance, and managing demand partners. You will analyze ad performance, set up A/B tests, integrate new ad placements, conduct competitor analysis, and troubleshoot ad-related issues. The position is hybrid, requiring two on-site days per week.
Must have:
  • Provide expert ad monetization insights to game teams.
  • Analyze ad performance and identify key areas for improvement.
  • Assist in setting up and analyzing A/B tests for ad strategies.
  • Work with game development teams to integrate new ad placements and formats.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and performance reporting.
  • Monitor ad quality and troubleshoot ad-related issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, or marketing.
  • Experience in gaming or programmatic advertising.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw insights using Excel and SQL.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with ad mediation platforms.
  • Understanding of mobile game monetization models.

Job Details

Our Advertising Monetization team manages Rovio’s in-game ad inventory and acts as an operational link between brands, media agencies, ad networks, product, and marketing teams.

We're now looking for an Advertising Monetisation Specialist to provide ad monetization expertise to our game teams, optimize ad performance, and manage demand partners to ensure efficient ad delivery and optimal revenue. In this role, you'll work on exciting new features for some of the most famous gaming IPs, directly serving game team needs and assisting with direct brand campaigns to boost brand demand.

This position is based in Espoo, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden and follows a hybrid work model with two on-site days per week.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Providing expert ad monetization insights to our game teams through analyzing ad performance and identifying key areas for improvement.
  • Assisting in setting up and analyzing the results of A/B tests for various ad strategies to determine optimal configurations.
  • Working with game development teams to integrate new ad placements and formats into the game, ensuring they are tested and implemented correctly.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and performance reporting by monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Monitoring ad quality and troubleshooting ad-related issues to maintain user experience.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, economics, statistics, marketing.
  • Experience working in gaming or programmatic advertising.
  • An analytical mindset, with a proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights using tools such as Excel and SQL.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, as you'll be working across internal teams and with external partners.
  • A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn more about mobile gaming and AdTech.

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Familiarity with ad mediation platforms.
  • An understanding of mobile game monetization models.
