The Iron Mountain Client Projects department is seeking dynamic Archivists. This role involves managing mail and parcel flows at a primary client site, including reception, sorting, distribution, sending, and digitization. Additionally, the archivist will conduct occasional archival tasks at other client locations, such as document classification, containerization, and inventory. Key responsibilities include managing the mail counter, tracking flows, digitizing mail, reporting anomalies, and ensuring adherence to service deadlines. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail in document handling, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must have:
  • Manage mail and parcel flows at the main client site (reception, sorting, distribution, sending, digitization).
  • Perform occasional archival interventions at other client sites (classification, containerization, inventory).
  • Receive, sort, distribute, and dispatch mail and parcels.
  • Manage the mail counter (handover/collection of mail, user relations).
  • Track and trace flows using internal tools.
  • Digitize mail (postal, express) according to defined procedures.
  • Report anomalies, manage unclaimed items.
  • Adhere to processing deadlines according to service commitments (SLA/KPI).
  • Participate in indicator reporting and follow-up committees if needed.
  • Travel occasionally to client sites for physical archiving missions.
  • Containerize documents in archive boxes according to instructions.
  • Photograph box fronts for integration into the inventory tool.
  • Participate in the creation of documentary fund inventories.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, classification, and document handling instructions.
Good to have:
  • Driving license B appreciated

The Iron Mountain Client Projects department is looking for dynamic and motivated Archivists to join its team. As a leader in the field of IT asset destruction and management, we are committed to offering a stimulating work environment and opportunities for professional development.

Main Mission:

Primarily based on delegation to one of our clients and under the responsibility of a team leader, the archivist (versatile mail agent) will be responsible for managing mail and parcel flows on the main client's site to which they will be dedicated (reception, sorting, distribution, sending, digitization) as well as occasional archival interventions at other clients (classification, containerization, inventory).

Daily Activities:

Mail Activities

  • Reception, sorting, distribution, and dispatch of mail and parcels
  • Management of the mail counter (handover/collection of mail, user relations)
  • Monitoring and traceability of flows via internal tools
  • Digitization of mail (postal mail, express couriers) according to defined procedures
  • Reporting anomalies, managing unclaimed items
  • Adherence to processing deadlines according to service commitments (SLA/KPI)
  • Participation in indicator reporting and follow-up committees if needed

Archival Activities

  • Occasional travel to client sites for physical archiving missions
  • Containerization of documents in archive boxes according to instructions
  • Photographing box fronts for integration into the inventory tool
  • Participation in the creation of documentary fund inventories
  • Adherence to confidentiality, classification, and document handling instructions

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in basic office tools (Outlook, Excel)
  • Comfortable with traceability, digitization, and reporting tools (Insight, GED)
  • Knowledge of mail management rules and routing circuits
  • Sense of organization, rigor in document classification and tracking
  • Ability to process documents with an archival logic (classification, containerization, inventory)
  • Ability to travel occasionally to different sites (driving license B appreciated)
