Job Description
The Area Mech HVAC Refrigeration Kitchen Tech will solve, perform maintenance and/or operational procedures in all phases of plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration work including, air cooled and water cooled chillers. Among many tasks, the Area Mech HVAC Refrigeration Kitchen Tech must be able to repair or replace valves, bearings, belts and sheave replacement, blower and shaft replacement, insulation and damper repairs, motor repair or replacement, pump rebuilding and maintenance of boilers and air compressors. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibrating and adjusting pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems. Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Steam Generation, Blowers, Hot Water Heaters, etc. Performing maintenance on mechanical systems that include belts, bearings, motors, pumps, walk-in-coolers, freezers, ice maker machines and other refrigeration equipment that includes coils, pans, insulation, blower shafts. Responding to trouble tickets within areas of Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Using the tools of the trade (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.). Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies. Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required.
Must Have:
- 4 years' experience in refrigeration
- Universal EPA Certification (Type I, II, and III)
- Experience troubleshooting, performing maintenance and operational procedures in all aspects of the plumbing trade
- Experience troubleshooting transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
- Knowledge of valve repair, replacement and adjustment
- Familiarity with tools such as multimeter, manifold gauges, scale and charging stations
- Ability to read blue prints and schematics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $28.45 per hour.

- Experience troubleshooting, performing maintenance and operational procedures in all aspects of the plumbing trade to include: plumbing, HVAC, commercial kitchen repair, boilers, air compressors and water cooled chillers
- Experience troubleshooting transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
- Knowledgeable of valve repair, replacement and adjustment
- Must be familiar with the tools of the trade such as multimeter, manifold gauges, scale and charging stations
- Ability to read blue prints and schematics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
