Job Description

Paytm, India's leading mobile payments and financial services distribution company, is seeking an experienced sales professional and people manager for its Transit-Offline Railways vertical. The role involves driving distribution growth, market share, and product deployment. Responsibilities include recruiting and managing a large sales team, planning market strategies, monitoring quality, and conducting sales audits. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong networking, coaching, and negotiation skills, comfortable with extensive travel and quota-driven sales. An MBA in marketing and experience in payments/finance are preferred.
Must have:
  • Drive growth of distribution and market share in assigned area
  • Ensure visibility & accountability through QR & Sound box, EDC deployment, and product sale
  • Identify and recruit sales team to drive business
  • Plan market size, span, and geographies for ASMs
  • Devise best methods for communicating plans/targets to minimize expectation vs delivery gap
  • Monitor quality parameters as suggested by management
  • Validate and conduct audits on acquisitions and sales done by the team
  • Manage a large team of 5-10 TLs & 500+ indirect employees
  • Good networking capabilities
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout specified area
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring
  • Quick learner who grasps and applies new ideas and concepts
  • Experience in quota-driven sales

About the Role:

Paytm is looking for an experienced sales professional & people manager to be a part of the Transit-Offline Railways vertical.

Expectations/ Requirements:

1. Growth of distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations.

2. Visibility & accountability through extensive QR & Sound box, EDC deployment, and sale of the product.

3. Identify and recruit the sales team to align and drive business in the market.

4. Plan the market size, span, and geographies for ASMs.

5. Devise the best methods for communication of plans/targets to the team so as to minimize the expectations vs delivery gap.

6. Monitor the quality parameters as suggested by the management.

7. Validate and conduct audits on the acquisitions and sales done by the team.

8. People manage a large team of 5-10 TLs & 500+ indirect employees.

Must-Have:

1. Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area.

2. Skilled in coaching and mentoring, a quick learner who grasps and puts into application newly learned ideas and concepts.

Education

MBA in marketing preferred.
