Location:
New York, NYGlamour is seeking a dynamic Associate Beauty Editor to conceptualize and execute beauty and wellness stories across all of our platforms. This role will be responsible for pitching and writing SEO-driven beauty/wellness trend pieces, features, I-tried-it/opinion stories, relevant news, and market guides. Applicants must have social media fluency and previous editorial experience in the beauty and wellness space, but we welcome freelance and/or full-time experience equally.
Responsibilities
Pitch, write, and build 5-7 pieces of content per week, including daily news stories (often with an original angle and/or light reporting), service pieces, product guides and reviews, and first-person or reported stories.
Have a working knowledge of SEO and content optimization
Work closely with the social team to strategize article promotion.
Regularly appear in Glamour videos and on our social plaforms.
Proactively use Parsley, Google Trends, Keyword Finder, and other tools to strategically pitch and produce stories that are optimized for search traffic and social engagement.
Develop and maintain relationships with brands, PR professionals, and experts
Occasionally represent Glamour at industry events.
Additional duties as required or as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
1-3 years experience covering beauty and wellness for established editorial brands
Passionate about having a deep knowledge of the beauty industry
Strong writer with proven ability to turn around stories in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
The ability to seamlessly toggle between first-person voice and objective tone.
Strong editorial judgement, reporting, and writing skills
Ability to contribute original ideas
A strong collaborative spirit with an ability to take the lead
Willingness to learn new skills, incorporate editorial feedback to improve work, and make decisions informed by data and performance
An ability to learn the Glamour POV, voice, and audience.
This position is located in New York City and will be required to be in-office 4 days a week. Remote candidates will not be considered.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $68,500-$78,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
