Job Description

HP Anyware is seeking an energetic co-op student in their 3rd or 4th year of Engineering or Computer Science to join their Software Development team. This role involves participating in the development and testing of HP Anyware's software components for their products and assisting in modernizing the development and build environment. The student will join a team building a microservices application as a SaaS solution, focusing on building quality products and designing automated tests for the CI/CD pipeline.
Must have:
  • Develop software components related to Microservices-based solutions.
  • Build scalable, cost-effective test automation with a focus on API, product-level integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Integrate automated security scanning and testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Contribute to integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Actively participate in a Scrum team and learn agile software development.
  • Learn about DevOps culture for SaaS solutions.
  • Test developed components within a virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in software development using NodeJS (TypeScript, JavaScript) or .NET.
  • Proficiency in software development for test automation using Python and Terraform.
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Completed at least 2 academic years.
  • Passion for programming software and interest in software services.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

HP Anyware invented the PCoIP remote display protocol and developed Engineering Emmy-Award-winning Anyware products to deliver the best virtual and remote desktop experience in the world.

Our exciting growth and continuing success mean that we are looking for an energetic co-op student in their 3rd or 4th year of Engineering or Computer Science to join our Software Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the development and testing of HP Anyware's software components for our HP Anyware family of products and to assist in modernizing our development and build environment. You will be joining a team that is building a microservices application running as a SaaS solution. As a Software Developer, you will be part of the development team in building a quality product and designing automated tests that will become part of the CI/CD pipeline of the product and enable high iterations and frequent releases with confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of software components related to Microservices-based solutions.
  • Building scalable, cost-effective test automation with a focus on API tests, product-level integration tests and end-to-end tests.
  • Integrating automated security scanning and testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Contribute to integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Be an active member of a Scrum team and learn about agile software development.
  • Learn about the DevOps culture (development and operations of a SaaS solution).
  • Testing of developed components within a virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Software development in NodeJS (TypeScript, JavaScript) or .NET
  • Software development for test automation in Python and Terraform.

Requirements:

  • Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Students who have completed at least 2 academic years.
  • Students who love to program software (ideally before they join university) and have an interest in software services.
  • Students who have experience with cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Individuals who work well with others, think outside the box and see raising the bar as part of the daily routine.

Other Information:

  • Preference will be given to Co-op Students currently enrolled in an Undergraduate program.
  • Please upload a copy of your unofficial transcript with your application.
  • 4-month or 8-month (preferable) work term
  • Start date: Jan 2026
  • Full-time with the possibility of extension and/or permanent career position
  • The typical base pay range for this co-op role is $3,700 to 5,000 per month. Pay within this range will be based on the review of experience, skills and internal equity. You will not be eligible to participate in HP’s group benefit programs, including health, dental, or other extended benefits. During your employment term, You will receive vacation pay in accordance with employment standards legislation and will be covered under applicable provincial workplace safety insurance programs.
