Job Description

We are looking for an intern in Philology, Communication, Design, Education, Publishing or related fields to support the Bilingualism Team. This editorial team develops materials for subjects taught in English in bilingual schools (Science, Natural Science, Social Science, Arts&Crafts, Music). The role involves editorial production, content review, graphic design support, digital production tasks, and operational organization and support.
Must have:
  • Support in incorporating corrections for reprints
  • Participate in checking print proofs
  • Review audio recordings and video animations
  • Collaborate in creating briefs, style guides, and glossaries
  • Research educational trends and curriculum updates
  • Search for reference materials and competitor analysis
  • Modify and correct images in Photoshop
  • Support in image searching
  • Prepare illustration minutes for classroom components
  • Generate PDFs from Word documents
  • Format and finalize PDFs for digital platform materials: activities, evaluations, Genially
  • Support in creating digital resources
  • Organize and upload files to shared drives
  • Create and update spreadsheets or databases
  • Support in uploading files to the digital platform

About the role:

We are looking for an intern in Philology, Communication, Design, Education, Publishing or related fields to support the Bilingualism Team: an editorial team for the development of materials for subjects taught in English in bilingual schools (Science, Natural Science, Social Science, Arts&Crafts, Music).

Main Responsibilities:

Editorial production and content review

  • Support in incorporating corrections for reprints.
  • Participation in checking print proofs.
  • Review of audio recordings and video animations.
  • Collaboration in creating briefs, style guides, and glossaries.
  • Research on educational trends and curriculum updates.
  • Search for reference materials and competitor analysis.

Graphic design and production

  • Modification and correction of images in Photoshop.
  • Support in image searching.
  • Preparation of illustration minutes for classroom components.

Digital production

  • Generation of PDFs from Word documents.
  • Formatting and finalization in PDF of materials for digital platform: activities, evaluations, Genially.
  • Support in creating digital resources.

Organization and operational support

  • Organization and uploading of files to shared drives.
  • Creation and updating of spreadsheets or databases.
  • Support in uploading files to the digital platform.

Experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest in the field of bilingual education and the publishing world
  • English level B2+ (oral and written).
  • Ability to review, classify and organize files, audios and images.
  • Attention to detail in the creation of digital resources and distribution of graphic elements on the page.
  • Writing skills, good reading comprehension and linguistic sensitivity for text correction.
  • Interest in learning about editing processes and tools both in print and digital format.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of editorial design, layout and art applied to educational books.
  • Familiarity with editing and design tools such as: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, InCopy, Canva, Genially, Basic video editing tools.
