The Location Based Entertainment (LBE) team is looking for a Bilingual Marketing Coordinator, based in Montreal, to support and drive key marketing initiatives for The Rec Room and Playdium brands. Reporting to the LBE marketing team, the candidate will focus on two main areas:
Marketing support for local strategy: The Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the marketing strategy for local initiatives. This includes executing sponsorships, location-specific offers, and managing relationships with mall partners. They will also focus on initiatives aimed at increasing attendance at The Rec Room Royalmount in Montreal.
Marketing support for the LBE team: This person will also work in partnership with the current LBE Marketing Manager on various projects, including brief writing, execution, and cross-functional coordination. They will provide valuable support to the entire LBE marketing team by taking charge of certain key routines and deliverables, such as planograms, signage, email sends, translations, and ad-hoc support.
This position is hybrid (3 days in the office per week), based at 352 Emery Street, Office 300 in Montreal, Quebec.
Main Responsibilities:
Support for Local Marketing Strategy
- Support the LBE Manager in executing local marketing campaigns: brief writing, cross-functional coordination, program execution, asset delivery, and ad-hoc support.
- Support the LBE Manager in executing partnerships across all markets, including asset delivery and ad-hoc support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for mall partners in LBE locations:
- Collaborate with mall partners on marketing opportunities.
- Provide mall partners with national campaign assets and local offers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Montreal market-specific initiatives:
- Research and recommend local partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to competitive analysis, with a particular focus on Montreal competitors.
LBE Marketing Team Routines and Execution
- Lead the update and deployment of the monthly The Rec Room and Playdium newsletter, in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Update and distribute monthly The Rec Room and Playdium planograms.
- Manage specific requests from location General Managers (e.g., local partnerships and marketing activities).
- Provide ad-hoc support to LBE marketing team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bilingualism French/English (oral and written)
- College or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or business administration.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams for marketing program execution (e.g., collaboration with different teams, recognizing key moments to engage partners, aligning needs and timelines).
- In-depth understanding of integrated marketing strategy and the tools needed to develop and measure a successful campaign.
- Proven ability to think critically to solve relatively complex strategic problems.
- Demonstrated analytical and financial skills to interpret financial data and evaluate business implications.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and present to leaders.
- Bilingualism with strong proficiency in both French and English, orally and in writing.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills (written and presentation) for writing briefs, leading meetings, formulating recommendations, and providing strategic feedback.
- Proficiency in written French for translating marketing documents from English to French.
- Cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships, balance stakeholder needs, and adhere to partner timelines and processes.
- Strategic thinking ability demonstrating an understanding of priorities and the impact of business decisions.
- Ability to evaluate creative elements and provide strategic feedback to ensure they meet brief objectives.
- Ability to analyze financial information and make recommendations, understanding financial models and business objectives.
- Basic understanding of media planning, tactics, and performance, and ability to write briefs for media partners.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to new information, and identify the impact of priority changes.
- Ability to lead programs autonomously, while demonstrating a team spirit to support team members as needed.
