Join Philips Innovation Engineering’s Sustainability Consulting team as a Business Analyst. This role involves driving sustainable practices across Philips' global business, focusing on ESG results, Circular Economy, and Design for Circularity. You will conduct in-depth assessments of trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in MedTech, generating actionable insights. Collaborating with project leaders, you will develop plans, report deliverables, and maintain an operational network. This position offers exposure to various Philips businesses, fostering growth and network expansion within a hybrid work model in Eindhoven.
Must have:
  • Participate in sustainability projects to accelerate ESG results.
  • Drive ESG business analysis activities.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts for ESG effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to develop project plans and budgets.
  • Report on project deliverables to stakeholders and the internal team.
  • Establish and maintain an operational network to support projects/areas.
  • Support consulting organization with internal processes and team activities.
  • Master’s degree in a sustainability, science or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in delivering complex projects aimed at enhancing ESG effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Foundational knowledge of Circular Economy, Access to Care, ESG, and Sustainable Innovation & Design.
  • Experience in working directly with clients.
  • Advanced skills in using Excel, PowerPoint, data & analytics, and visualization tools.
  • Comfortable using and explaining AI tools.
  • Fluent in English.

Job Description

Join Philips Innovation Engineering’s dynamic Sustainability Consulting team to drive impactful, sustainable practices across our global business. We’re looking for a talented starter with a passion for combining sustainability and cutting-edge health technology to help realize Philips’ ambitious sustainability goals. You will be part of a broader Innovation Management team of 80 experts in Sustainability, Innovation, Supply Chain, and Operations. You will work closely with Philips businesses and functions and Philips’ central Sustainability Office to embed sustainability into every aspect of the business. You will gain experience across various Philips businesses, building a large network, and participating in diverse projects to grow and utilize your talents. Next to that you contribute and participate in acquisition and competence management activities of the Consulting team. You work in a hybrid model, at the Philips office at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven (min 3d/week).

Your Role

  • Participate in sustainability projects together with subject matter experts to accelerate ESG results by driving activities which can include Circular Economy, Design for Circularity, Life Cycle Analysis, Value Proposition and Business Case creation and reviewing and reporting on ESG results.
  • Drive ESG business analysis activities by conducting in-depth assessments of trends, competitive landscapes, current performance and emerging technologies within the MedTech field.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts aimed at enhancing ESG effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to develop project plans and budgets that align with organizational goals and client needs.
  • Report on project deliverables to stakeholders and the internal team.
  • Establish and maintain an operational network to support projects/areas you're involved in.
  • Support consulting organization with internal processes and team activities.

You're the right fit if

  • You have a Master’s degree in a sustainability, science or related discipline and outstanding scholarly results, supplemented with extra-curricular activities
  • You have 1-2 years of experience in delivering complex projects aimed at enhancing ESG effectiveness and outcomes.
  • You have foundational knowledge and a passion for the broader sustainability domain: Circular Economy, Access to Care, ESG, and Sustainable Innovation & Design.
  • You have experience in working directly with clients.
  • You bring a collaborative and fast learner mindset, eager to pick up and apply new approaches and tools to solve complex problems.
  • You are an excellent communicator and presenter.
  • You have advanced skills in using Excel, PowerPoint, data & analytics, and visualization tools
  • You are comfortable using and explaining AI tools and can preferably apply AI tools in real workflows or business problems.

In addition, you are

  • A self-starter who connects easily and builds trust.
  • A team player who motivates others and takes initiative.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch understanding preferred).
  • Willing to work in a hybrid model, at the Philips office at the High tech Campus in Eindhoven (min. 3 days/week).

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
