Haleon is seeking a Business Change Manager for a 15-month fixed-term contract to drive learning transformation within the Quality Supply Chain (QSC) organization. This role focuses on implementing effective change management to maximize adoption, providing hands-on support throughout the change adoption journey. The manager will prepare and equip colleagues to adapt to changes in job roles, structures, processes, systems, and technology within a compliance environment, including manufacturing. The position involves a matrix management structure, reporting to the Global Director, Change, and the QSC Capabilities Lead.
Must have:
  • Proven track record of managing change initiatives in a compliance environment, ideally manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence others and drive progress.
  • Experience simplifying complex messages for senior management.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, decision-making, and mitigation planning.
  • Comfortable operating in a complex, global matrixed organization.

  • Strong problem-solving, root cause identification, and planning skills.
  • Adaptable mindset, able to work through ambiguity and prioritize.
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively.

We are recruiting a Business Change Manager. where you will enable Learning transformation across the Quality Supply Chain (QSC) organisation by ensuring that change management is implemented and executed effectively to increase and maximise adoption.

You will provide practical, hands-on change management support through all phases of the change adoption journey.

This role will focus on the human side of change, which is about preparing, and equipping our colleagues to adopt and adapt to changes in job roles, organisation structures, business processes, systems, and technology within a compliance environment, including manufacturing.

The role will have a matrix management structure. This will be composed of a solid “hard” reporting line into the Haleon Business Services, Global Director, Change, and a matrix reporting line into the QSC Capabilities Lead, QSC HR Central Team.

Key Responsibilities

As Business Change Manager your main responsibilities will include:

  • Change Impact & Approach: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the change rationale, objectives and target adoption, and assess cumulative impact of changes to operational capabilities and responsibilities. Conduct detailed analysis of stakeholder needs, issues and priorities for change.
  • Change strategy: Articulate upcoming impacts and strategic alignment of change, contributing to the enterprise change journey. Develop and execute change strategy, approaches and plans for the region that bring stakeholders on the journey and support longer-term embed of the change.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Identify and map key stakeholders, assigning relationships and agreeing engagement approach. Build and maintain relationships with impacted teams, leadership and employees. Collaborate, as required, with delivery partners across Haleon (e.g., Learning, Capability Leads, Internal Communications, and others).
  • Change Leadership: Coach and support business leaders to achieve expected outcomes and realise benefits by navigating and smoothing the process of change. Collaborate with key roles to identify potential sources of resistance and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Transformation champion: Advocate for the importance of change management and clearly articulate how change can be implemented effectively.
  • Risk and issue management: Identify, document and support mitigation of key change management risks within and between programmes. Escalate common themes requiring enterprise-wide approach to resolution
  • Adoption and evaluation: Create and support delivery of actions that drive adoption of the change. Define success metrics and assess change effectiveness and readiness for programmes and related initiatives. Review and report on change outcomes and benefits.
  • Upskilling and training: Work with business owners and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate training, support and capability building plans are in place for all stakeholders. Support learning needs analysis to identify additional learning requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and upskilling activities within the programmes and contribute to the wider change manage capability in Haleon.
  • Communications: Support Communications Leads in articulating benefits, rationale and impact of change initiatives within the region. Apply effective problem-solving techniques to simplify complex information, creating actionable insights and strategies for organisational change.

To be effective in role, experience of the following will be essential:

  • Proven track record of managing change initiatives of varying complexity and risk ideally in a compliance environment, with experience of manufacturing in a global organisation.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and relationship-building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams.
  • Ability to influence others to drive progress toward a common vision or goal whilst respecting competing priorities and perspectives.
  • Significant experience and skill in simplifying complex messages and presenting to senior management through written and verbal channels.
  • Experience in considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics.
  • Comfortable and skilled in operating in a complex operational matrixed organisation across diverse, global teams.
  • Excellent business engagement and business acumen with sensitivity to internal and external political/economic environments,
  • Solid understanding of how people experience change, and the change process, including drivers of change resistance/barriers to adoption.
  • Understand and apply the Haleon Change methodology, and other key change principles and stages of change.
  • Strong problem solving, root cause identification, and planning skills with the ability to think big picture as well as hold the detail.
  • Adaptable mindset with a strong ability to work through ambiguity and prioritise and adapt delivery approach in a changing environment.
  • Team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience working on a complex portfolio of initiatives that involve multiple change elements across people, policy, process, and technology preferred.
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment
