Paytm is India's leading mobile payments and financial services distribution company, pioneering mobile QR payments. The Oil and Gas vertical focuses on offline payment solutions for petrol and gas stations, managing sales and operations. We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships in the loyalty and rewards ecosystem, identifying, negotiating, and onboarding brands to expand loyalty program offerings, enhance member engagement, and drive incremental revenue.
Must have:
  • Identify and target potential partners across industries (FMCG, retail, travel, ecommerce, BFSI, hospitality, etc.) for loyalty tie-ups.
  • Pitch the value proposition of our loyalty solutions and negotiate win–win partnership agreements.
  • Build multi-sector partner portfolios to enhance member redemption and earning opportunities.
  • Manage key partner accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Collaborate with partners on co-branded campaigns, joint promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Track partner performance and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, industry trend monitoring, and opportunity mapping in the loyalty space.
  • Work with product and marketing teams to align partner offerings with customer needs and company goals.
  • Deliver on sales and partnership acquisition targets.
  • Ensure partner deals contribute to incremental revenue, customer acquisition, and engagement KPIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–10 years in business development, partnerships, or sales (preferably in loyalty programs, rewards platforms, fintech, or allied sectors).
  • Proven track record of closing B2B deals and managing partner portfolios.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and networking abilities.
  • Understanding of loyalty program mechanics, reward redemption models, and partnership monetization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and analytics teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.

About the Team: The Oil and gas vertical Focused Offline payment solution team. Includes payment of oil/petrol and gas bills via QR Codes and POS machines. Predominantly dealing with Petrol and gas station Merchants and other Retail business ,handling end to end sales and Operations. Onboarding new merchants for offline solutions and servicing existing merchants. Maintaining good relationship with PSU Companies / Oil marketing Companies.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships in the loyalty and rewards ecosystem. The role involves identifying, negotiating, and onboarding brands, merchants, and corporate partners to expand our loyalty program offerings, enhance member engagement, and drive incremental revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development & Acquisition

• Identify and target potential partners across industries (FMCG, retail, travel, ecommerce, BFSI, hospitality, etc.) for loyalty tie-ups.

• Pitch the value proposition of our loyalty solutions and negotiate win–win partnership

agreements.

Account Management & Relationship Building

Market Research & Strategy

Revenue & KPI Management

• Deliver on sales and partnership acquisition targets.

• Ensure partner deals contribute to incremental revenue, customer acquisition, and

engagement KPIs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in Business, Marketing, or related

field.

Experience:

o 5–10 years in business development, partnerships, or sales (preferably in loyalty

programs, rewards platforms, fintech, or allied sectors).

o Proven track record of closing B2B deals and managing partner portfolios.

• Skills:

o Strong negotiation, presentation, and networking abilities.

o Understanding of loyalty program mechanics, reward redemption models, and

partnership monetization.

o Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and analytics

teams.

o Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
