Job Description

As a Category Manager at Haleon, you will be a result-driven and ambitious commercial expert, playing a key role in shaping the future of categories. You will partner with retail customers and Haleon's commercial and brand teams to deliver insight-driven, shopper-centric thought leadership, challenging norms and unlocking mutual growth opportunities. Your mission is to create strategic category visions that elevate brands and drive sustainable, profitable growth across the retail landscape, defining, assessing, and implementing category management strategies that resonate with customers and market needs.
Must have:
  • Localize global Category vision & strategies.
  • Provide support for customers and Key Account Manager in developing and executing a long-term plan for our categories.
  • Provide actionable category insights and opportunities based on the analyses of consumption data, monitoring of the competitive landscape, and integrating Shopper behaviour & thinking.
  • Lead category projects with customers across all channels.
  • Support the launch and introduction of new product innovations by supporting the delivery of compelling Sell In stories towards retail.
  • Support the brand/commercial team in their yearly planning process.
  • Provide best in class assortment and shelf management services, supported by leading edge tools.
  • Define Haleon's assortment priorities per channel, help to define distribution targets and track progress against these targets.
  • Manage the cooperation with our consumption data providers such as IQVIA and Nielsen.
  • University degree in relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Experienced in category management, preferably in FMCG industry.
  • Good understanding of Swedish retail landscape & tactics.
  • Strong commercial thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to run ad hoc deep dives, to interpret complex data and to provide actionable insights via excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with strong customer focus and the capability to influence at different levels in the organization and at retail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a commitment to delivering on-time and quality results.
  • IT, Digital and analytically savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
Good to have:
  • Experience in space management programs, preferably JDA Space planning.
  • High energy level and pro-activity with an appetite to drive execution & growth.

Job purpose

As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our categories by partnering closely with both our retail customers and Haleon's commercial and brand teams. Your mission is to deliver insight-driven, shopper-centric thought leadership that challenges conventional norms and unlocks mutual growth opportunities.

You’ll be at the forefront of creating strategic category visions that not only elevate our brands but also drive sustainable and profitable growth across the retail landscape. This is a role for a bold thinker—someone who can connect data with strategy and inspire confidence in our approach.

Your core responsibility will be to define, assess, and implement category management strategies that resonate with our customers and reflect the evolving needs of the market.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Stockholm, Sweden and reporting into the Category Lead for Nordics.

Key responsibilities
