This customer-facing role involves managing and executing customer compliance reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations. The consultant will work with sales, legal, pricing & licensing, and software development teams to gather and analyze data for compliance determination. If non-compliance is found, the consultant will present findings to the customer, potentially working with sales on audits and remediation plans. This is a critical and visible position requiring regular updates and presentations to senior management. The role is intermediate-level and career-oriented, demanding strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Description:

Client Services Consultant – MSD Software Compliance

Job Profile Summary:

In this customer facing position you will be responsible for the management and execution of customer compliance reviews with the goal of ensuring that customers are adhering to their contractual obligations and working with the pricing and licensing team to ensure that customers are leveraging the correct licensing model for the way they do business.

  • You will work with a variety of resources across the company including sales, legal (internal & external), pricing & licensing, and software development to gather and analyze the information needed to determine whether a customer is in compliance of their contract. 

  • If you determine a customer is out of compliance, present your findings to the customer, working with sales.  If an audit is necessary, you will work with compliance teams across Broadcom to determine the scope of the audit and present to the customer. 

  • You will also work with sales & legal on remediation plans to recover any fees associated with the contract compliance violation.

  • This is a very critical & visible role, and will require regular updates & presentations to Sr. Management, up to and including the division General Manager.  

This job is an intermediate-level, career-oriented, professional position.

  • Familiarity with Software Contracts terms & conditions

  • Telemetry & License Management Reporting & Tools (including IBM ISV SCRT Reports)

  • Ability to quickly learn a wide variety of technical and non-technical skills

Job Complexity / Contribution:

Works on problems of diverse scope in a fast paced and changing environment where analysis of data & contracts requires evaluation multiple factors to determine compliance. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with internal and external personnel in their own area of expertise. 

Supervision:

  • Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Usually works with minimal supervision, conferring with supervisor or experts on unusual matters.

  • Requires daily decision-making capabilities and actions with minimal  review by superiors.

  • Provides regular updates to manager/leadership on project/account status

  • General guidelines for new assignments

Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience or Master’s degree

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $59,000  - $90,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
