As a Co-Development & Outsource Manager at SEGA, you will be responsible for supporting game development teams with co-development and outsourcing needs. This involves maintaining and growing a database of qualified talent across all disciplines, managing sourcing, assessment, contracting, and onboarding. You will collaborate with internal teams, monitor outsourced teams' performance, and develop strategies to optimize processes. The role requires strong project management skills, communication, and the ability to build relationships. The job includes ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, as well as travel to other studios. The ideal candidate has experience in managing co-development and outsourcing within the gaming industry.

This role involves maintaining and growing a database of qualified, cost-effective talent across all disciplines to leverage for the studios. The manager will oversee sourcing, assessment, due diligence of resources, contracting, onboarding, and providing production support as needed.   • Act as a central resource for co-development and outsourcing needs, supporting various game development teams. 
  • Maintain and grow a database of qualified, cost-effective talent across all disciplines. 
  • Source, assess, and conduct due diligence on potential resources. 
  • Manage contracting, onboarding, and provide production support when necessary. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of outsourced resources. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of outsourced teams to ensure quality and efficiency. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize co-development and outsourcing processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. 
  • Interact with and maintain good relationships with our project teams to understand and support their development needs. 
  • Effectively communicate industry trends and potential opportunity areas as it relates to Co-Development and Outsourcing to our internal studios. 
  • Travel to our other Development Studios and Co-Development/Outsourcing Studios as required.  

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Proven experience in managing co-development and outsourcing in the gaming industry. 
  • Well versed in building contacts with potential Co-Development and Outsource opportunities to ensure a strong understanding of where the best solutions exist based on need.  
  • Understanding of contract and deal terms negotiation. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in co-development and outsourcing. 
  • Proven ability to work on multiple titles at any given time. 
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Experience working with development teams to best understand and support their co-development and outsourcing needs. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) across all levels and organizations. 
  • Highly collaborative, team-minded person with good financial acumen who consistently drives toward better outcomes for the business and project teams. 

 Preferred Attributes 

  • Game development production experience. 
  • Experience with various project management and database tools. 
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and methodologies in game development. 
  • Knowledge of the wider games industry.
